Cavan owned travel agency wins prestigious makeover award
Atlantic travel, a Letterkenny based travel agency, owned by Peter and Sheila McGinnity (formerly of McGinnity Travel in Cavan town) have won a store makeover to the value of £20,000 (€22,700). The prize sponsored by Royal Caribbean Cruise line was presented at a ceremony in London.
Atlantic travel beat competition from 18 other travel agents across Ireland and Britain to win the prize. Emma McHugh manager of the Cavan owned business was delighted to have been chosen for the shop makeover, “I’m completely overwhelmed and very surprised because I looked into the other finalists and they were all very deserving. It’s so exciting for a rural travel agency to win. We have such a passion for making the agency better and growing through innovation.”
Making the choice the judges praised the creativity of the store design in Letterkenny and the quirky and heartfelt presentation made by Emma and her team.
Peter and Sheila McGinnity are pleased with the win, and thrilled the business is doing so well, and they look forward to further growth in the North west
