Extra toppings for €5m pizza factory development

Crust & Crumb Ltd, the company behind a €5m private label chilled pizza factory in Ballyconnell, has applied for permission to further develop the site at Annagh on the outskirts of the town.
The application seeks the erection of a single storey detached building comprising of ESB MV Sub Station, Switch Room & Generator Room together with associated site works, with a decision due at the end of January next year.
Operated by Fermanagh-based businessman Mark McCaffrey, Crust & Crumb Ltd recently got the go-ahead on plans change the use of eight previously approved industrial/ commercial/ retail/ office units to form a food production, storage and distribution facility.
The works, which is currently still underway, includes alterations to the floor plans and elevations including new signage, the provision of two floor silos, along with connection to existing services and associated site works.
The application also seeks permission to retain alternations to previously approved floor plans namely demolition of dividing walls between units 2-4 and 6-8, and creation of new openings in existing walls between units 1-2 and units 4-6.
Permission was granted with a total of six conditions attached, and once operational the business is expected to create up to 90 new jobs in the locality.
