Family-friendly Christmas event for Cavan town

Tarpey’s SuperValu recently launch a family-friendly Christmas Food Fair. This new family-friendly Christmas event takes place his Sunday [December 16] from 12pm to 6pm.

Sean Tarpey, owner of Tarpey’s SuperValu, said it the fair is a way of saying thanks to his customers: “Christmas can be a stressful time for everyone, but it’s also an opportunity to take time out and give thanks to those who are important to you. After a very successful year at Tarpey's Supervalu we have decided to hold a Christmas Food Fair to celebrate the festive season with all our customers as a way of saying thank you for their business over the past year.”

On Sunday will have a host of events for all the family to enjoy : “We’ll have free festive food and drink tasting, live music by the wonderful Cavan Comhaltas, and a chance for little ones to catch a glimpse of Santa in the store,” Sean said.

The day will feature entertainment for all the family, competitions to win a wide range of spot prizes, a Christmas jumper competition and special in-store promotions on many goods. Sean said that it won't get inconvenience shoppers: “We’ll be taking orders for Christmas turkey, ham, Christmas pavlova and Bailey’s cheesecake. We’re inviting everyone, customers new and old, to put on their best Christmas jumper and come along on Sunday to help us spread some festive cheer!”

Tarpey’s Christmas Food Fair will be free to attend and will have plenty for all the family to enjoy. The programme of events will also include festive food and drink tasting, live music from Cavan Comhaltas and a chance to meet Santa Claus.
