Taste of Cavan returns in August

One of the most successful ventures in the promotion of the county, Taste of Cavan, will take place on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10 this year. Visitors from across the country will once again descend on the Equestrian Centre for the celebration of Cavan's culinary excellence.

The food event of the summer returns in 2019 with over 120 stalls of artisan food and craft producers from Cavan and the surrounding areas and lots of fun family entertainment

The weekend of Taste of Cavan sees tens of thousands of foodies make their way to Cavan as the county cements it's reputation as a food destination. The annual fiesta was launched today [Wednesday] in Crover House Hotel.

Speaking at the launch Elizabeth Ormiston, Chair of the ToC committee, said the organisers endeavour to be innovative: “Every year Taste of Cavan Committee try to come up with new ideas to keep our patrons interested. This year we are introducing a children's art competition with a food connection.”

Ms Ormiston said the success of the event is down to the public and the network of dedicated individuals who make it possible: “I would like to thank our sponsors for their commitment, and contribution to make Taste of Cavan a reality.”

The culinary extravaganza has an expanded offering of the best local and regional food, craft produce, and a star-studded line-up of Ireland’s top chefs. We will have a detailed report on the launch in this weeks Anglo Celt
