Water outage warning for Bally'duff

Irish Water has announced that customers in Ballyjamesduff may experience outages today (March 12) while emergency repairs are carried out at the local treatment plant

Working in partnership with Cavan County Council, the semi-State utility is advising customers in Ballyjamesduff that they may experience reduced pressure and/or a water outage today due to a mechanical issue at the water treatment plant.

“Irish Water drinking water operational experts are working with colleagues in Cavan County Council to resolve this situation as soon as possible. Works have an estimated completion time of 11pm on March 12,” a spokesperson says.

It may take two to three hours for a full water supply to return after this time, especially for properties in higher lying areas.

“Irish Water and Cavan County Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank customers for their patience while we carry out these repairs,” the spokesperson added.
