Tom Gormley

The death has occurred of Tom Gormley Loch Gowna, Cavan. Saturday, August 22, peacefully, at his home in the loving care of his family. Pre-deceased by his dear wife Mary, his daughter Grainne Ellis and his son Tom. Deeply regretted by his adoring family; his son Tony, daughters; Deirdre Fitzpatrick, Maeve Hyland, Eimear Morris, Geraldine Uprichard and Clare Wharton, his sons in law, much loved grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to HSE and government regulations, Tom's funeral will be private to family and close friends only. The funeral cortége will depart from his home to arrive at the Church of The Holy Family, Loch Gowna, on Monday, August 24, at 11 o'clock with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The Mass will be broadcast live on Parish of Gowna and Mullinalaghta Facebook page.

Sr. Mary Murphy

The death has occurred of Sr. Mary Murphy Presentation Sisters, Kilcock and formerly of Castlerahan, Co. Cavan. August 20, 2020 peacefully in the tender care of the Sisters and staff, Shalom Nursing Home, Kilcock, Co. Klidare. Predeceased by her parents John and Mary, her brothers Patrick, Terry and John Joe. Deeply regretted by her brothers Peter and Benny, her nephews Johnny Gerard and John, Johnny’s wife Sharon and son Patrick, her nieces Mary, Jackie and Patricia, grandnieces, grandnephews, Presentation Community in Ireland, India and Pakistan; extended family and friends.

Rest in peace. A Mass to celebrate Sr. Mary’s life will be held at a later date.

In accordance with government guidelines on public gatherings, a private burial will take place.

Francis (Fran, Frank) Connolly

The death has occurred of Francis (Fran, Frank) Connolly, Lattinalbany, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Tullycorbet, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan and Mount Merrion, Dublin peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family, Saturday August 22, 2020. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Joan, sons John, Rory and Stephen, daughters-in-law Trish, Shirley and Emer, grandchildren Rebecca, Michael, Sadbh, Dara, Eoin and Fiadh, sister Collette Lawlor (Carlow), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace. Reposing at his residence on Sunday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Fran’s funeral cortège will travel from his residence on Monday at 10:15am to arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross (A81 K253) for Requiem Mass at 11am which will be celebrated in the presence of his family and close friends in accordance with current guidelines.
