Claire Lyons (nee Kitson), Easton Park, Leixlip, Co. Kildare & formerly St. Mary’s Terrace, Wolfe Tone St., Cavan Town, Thursday, August 27th 2020, peacefully at Elm Green Nursing Home, Castleknock, Co. Dublin.

Predeceased by her loving husband Steve. Claire will be sadly missed by her sons Ruán & Cormac, sisters Margaret Kelly & Teresa Kitson (both Cavan), brother Seamus Kitson (Ballyjamesduff), grandchildren Oscar, Matilda, Willow & William, daughters-in-law Clare & Olivia, nieces, nephews, neighbours & friends.

Due to current Government & HSE regulations, Claire’s funeral will be private to family members & close friends only.

Claire’s funeral cortege will leave the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd., Cavan at 11am approximately on Saturday morning, via Highfield Rd., and Wolfe Tone St., to arrive at the Cathedral of Saints Patrick & Felim, Cavan for Funeral Mass at 11.30am.

A private cremation will take place afterwards.

Those paying their respects to Claire along the route are asked to please observe social distancing at all times.

Unexpectedly at Cork University Hospital.

Beloved husband of Dolores and dearest father of Eoghan.

He will be loved and deeply missed by his wife & son, family Paschal & Phelim, sister Marie (O’Briain), daughter-in-law Jill, grandchildren Iarlaith, Setanta & Odhrán, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, colleagues, relatives & friends.

Reposing at home in Ruanard, Clonlara on Friday eve. (Aug 28th) for his immediate family.

Requiem Mass in St. Senan’s Church, Clonlara on Saturday (Aug. 29th) at 12 noon. Mass will be live streamed. Burial afterwards in Doonass Cemetery, Clonlara.

Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Limerick Youth Services

In compliance with current guidelines, the funeral will be restricted to family members and close friends only.

Evelyn Duggan (née Connaughton)

Rathfarnham, Dublin / Oldcastle, Meath

(Rathfarnham, Dublin and formerly of Ballinacree, Oldcastle, Co. Meath) died peacefully at her home on 21 August 2020.

Evelyn, beloved wife of Paddy and loving mother of Eimear will be deeply missed by her heartbroken family, much loved grandson baby Joseph, son-in-law to be Ciaran, sister Frances, brothers Sean, Michael, Alo, Brendan and Finian, nieces and extended family and friends.

Due to Government advice regarding public gatherings, a small private funeral will take place at the Church of the Annunciation, Rathfarnham, on Saturday, 29 August, at 11am.

Pat Lynch

London and late of Drominiskin, Moynalty, Meath

The death has occurred of Pat Lynch, London and late of Drominiskin, Moynalty, Kells, Co. Meath, at University College Hospital, London, following an illness.

Predeceased by his parents Paddy & Mona, sister-in-law Marian, brother-in-law Peter and nephew Fintan.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife, Shel, step-daughter Michelle, Michelle’s partner John, step-granddaughter Rosie, his brothers and sisters, Eilish McGee (Ballyshannon), Rosemary Finnegan (Quigelagh), Mick (Feagh), Colette Gargan (Mullinavalley), Geraldine O’Reilly (Tullinaskeagh), Angela (Mullagh) and Thomas (Drominiskin), his uncle Rev. Paddy Mulvany (Blackpool), brothers in law, sister in law , nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral will take place in London.

Eugene McCabe

Drumard, Clones, Monaghan

Eugene Mc Cabe, Drumard, Clones, died peacefully in Cavan General Hospital, Thursday 27th August 2020.

He was born in Glasgow on 7th July 1930 to Irish parents with roots in Clones parish, Shercock and Corranny. His parents returned to Ireland at the outbreak of the Second World War and continue to be part of the community.

Eugene was a playwright, storyteller and dramatist.

He is survived by his wife Margot, his daughter Ruth, sons Marcus, Patrick and Stephen, sister Margaret, son-in-law Colmán, daughters-in-law Kate, Lisa and Andrea, grandchildren Hannah, Leo, Thomas, Tireoin, Roisin, Caspar, Jordan, Caitlin, Faelin, Conal, Eabha, Odhran and Dara-Grace, great-grandson Zavier, extended family and many friends and neighbours.

Eugene will be resting at the family home tomorrow, Friday. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Chapel, Clones, Saturday, 29th August, at 1pm, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Eugene’s funeral cortège will leave from the chapel on foot via Fermanagh St & The Diamond.

Due to the continued restrictions on public gatherings, Eugene’s Funeral Mass and cremation will be celebrated in the presence of his family and close friends.
