Garda seize vehicles for road offences
Drivers are being warned once again about the dangers of driving while under the influence of drugs.
Cavan Roads Policing Unit on patrol last Friday morning, August 28, observed a car described as “driving erratically” at around 11am.
When stopped the driver failed they failed a roadside oral fluid test- testing positive for both cocaine and cannabis.
The driver was arrested, charged and will appear before court in due course.
Later that same day in the Ballyjamesduff area, another car was detected driving in an erratic manner.
“This driver tested positive for cocaine and was also driving without insurance. The car was subsequently detained and the driver now faces a Court appearance,” a spokesperson post in an update on social media.
