Lot 72 - a neo-classical wall plaque

Mee’s auction promises unique interior pieces

The upcoming September Decorative Interiors Sale at Victor Mee’s promises to showcase a host of beautiful one-of-a-kind interior pieces and home furnishings, ensuring something unique for all tastes and budgets.

For proof of uniqueness, look no further than Lot 72, a neo-classical wall plaque featuring cherubs amongst a floral background. This charming piece is incredibly rare to the market. Amongst the star lots is a pair of classic Chesterfield sofas (lot 92), perfectly aged and embellished with the traditional deep tufted buttons so synonymous with the style. An elegant mahogany chest of drawers (lot 79) with brass handles and a unique pull-down writing slat will also draw bidders. Lots 502 and 503 are individual sets of index drawers on raised legs. Highlighted by the Victor Mee team for their unusual design, the drawers are almost deceitful, appearing small and yet, once opened, they stretch deep into the unit, to provide ample space for whatever trinkets the lucky buyers might choose to fill them with.

“Interiors auctions are one of our biggest draws, as we experience a new wave of bidders who are looking to design their homes with the kind of flair and quality that can only be found in antique pieces," said auctioneer Victor Mee. “We take great pride in sourcing unique items to put forward in our sales, standing behind every interior lot that goes under the hammer and we’re certainly very excited to once again offer our bidders the cream of the crop of decorative interiors.”

The September Decorative Interiors Sale will take place online on Sunday, September 20.
