Ann McGovern (née Dolan)

Late of Tullyveela, Corlough, Cavan/ Drumreilly, Leitrim

Peacefully, at her home in New York, surrounded by her family.

Predeceased by her husband Pat (Carrigallen). Ann will be sadly missed by her loving family, her daughter Cathy, son Padraig (Patrick) son-in-law Tim, daughter-in-law Stacey, granddaughter Aine, grandsons Timmy, Paddy and Charlie, her sister Mae (Canada) and brother Patsy (Corlough), nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Ann emigrated to the US over sixty years ago. She met her husband at Gaelic Park and started their family on Mosholu Parkway in the Bronx during the 1970's. She made frequent visits to Corlough and Carrigallen with her children and regularly visited her numerous friends in the surrounding parishes. She dealt with the loss of her husband in 1990 and raised her two children in St. Brendan's Parish.

She graduated from College in 1996 and worked for the NYC Board of Education only retiring three years ago this June.

Ann lived many years with an underlying heart condition and fought to remain an active mother and grandmother to her family.

She passed away peacefully at home with her family saying the rosary at her bedside.

She lived her life dedicated to her Catholic faith. She will always be remembered as a hardworking, kind and loving person.

Ann will return to Ireland on Wednesday, 23rd September.

Removal from her home in Carrigallen at 5.15pm to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Corlough at 6.00pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11.00am. Burial afterwards in Carrigallen Cemetery.

In accordance with HSE and Government guidelines relating to public gatherings Ann's removal and funeral will be private to family and close friends only.

Thomas (Thos) Galligan

Lisreagh, Cavan Town, Cavan

Thomas (Thos) Galligan, peacefully in Lisdarn Unit for the Elderly, Cavan. Sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Eileen Galligan (London) and Ann Galligan (Cavan), nieces and nephews, in Cavan, Monaghan and London.

Reposing in Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Thursday, September 17th, 6pm-8pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am in St. Brigid's Church, Killygarry, Cavan with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family home and funeral private to family, neighbours and close friends, please.

Anyone standing along the route are asked to observe social distancing guidelines.

Anna Courtney (nee McDaid), Woodbrook House, 23 Clones Road, Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh BT92 6SB, Tuesday 15th September 2020, peacefully, at her daughter’s residence, Wattlebridge Road, Newtownbutler, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Dessie, her sister Eileen Donegan and her brothers PJ (Paddy) and Michael Mc Daid.

Cherished and adored mother of Lynne, Brian, Colum and Roisin.

Anna will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughters, sons, daughters-in-law Pauline and Mary, son-in-law Leo adored grandchildren Shannen, Jonathan, Conor, Laoise, Caolfhionn, Eimear, Aishleann, Ryan, Bonnie and Dessie, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends and by all who knew and loved her.

Anna will be resting at her daughter’s residence.

Funeral Mass in the Church of Immaculate Conception, Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh BT92 8JJ on Thursday, 17th September, at 2pm, followed by burial in adjoining Cemetery.

Anna’s funeral cortege to the chapel will travel via Clones Road (Approx 1.15pm at Woodbrook House), Main Street and Bridge Street.

Due to the continued restrictions on public gatherings, Anna’s funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of her family.

McKenna (Kinawley), 38 Shanvalley Road, Kinawley BT92 4GT, 16th September 2020, peacefully, Raymond, dear husband of Frances and loving father to Eibhin, Lorcan, Oisin and Rión, son of Rosaleen and brother of Patricia, Rosemary, Paul, Helen, Brenda and Damien and predeceased by his father Bernard and his brother Patrick who died in infancy.

House and Funeral Mass as per current Covid-19 Guidance.

Remains reposing at his home from tomorrow (Thursday) until removal on Friday morning at 10.30 am to arrive for 11.00 am Requiem Mass in St Naile’s Church, Kinawley followed by burial in St Naile’s New Cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughters, mother, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and extended family circle.

Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at North West Hospice, Sligo.

Reposing at Smith's Funeral Home, Ballinamore, on Friday, 18th September, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm for family and close friends only.

Removal from his home on Saturday for Funeral Mass in St. Brigid's Church, Drumcong at 11.00am. Burial afterwards in Kiltubrid new cemetery.

Due to the current HSE restrictions, Covid 19 guidelines will be strictly adhered to both at reposing and Funeral Mass where numbers attending will be restricted.

Young (née Guckian), Philomena (Phil), 15th September 2020, Clonee, D.15, formerly of Bunrevagh, Aghacashel, Co. Leitrim. Suddenly at home.

Daughter of the late Thomas & Brigid Guckian, pre-deceased by her sister Betty. Phil will be forever loved and sadly missed by her daughter Aideen, son Paul their father Vivian, son-in-law Peter, daughter-in-law Julie, her adored grandsons Oisin, Fionn and Cian, brothers John and Donal, sisters Loretta (Keane), Caroline (Sammon) and Vera (Wrynn), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives and her many dear friends.

Jeff Platt (Hague)

The death has occurred of Jeff Platt (Hague), Park Road, Drumillard, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. Peacefully in Castleross Nursing Home, Thursday, 17th September 2020. Deeply regretted and lovingly missed by his partner Pauline, children Sean and Geraldine, grandchildren, extended family and friends.

In line with guidelines issued by The Government and The HSE, Jeff’s wake and burial will be private.

Jeff’s remains will be arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Castleblayney for burial at 4pm tomorrow Friday, 18th September.
