Gardaí investigate alleged attempted abduction

Gardaí are investigating an alleged attempted abduction of a woman at the weekend.

The incident occurred in the Belturbet area on Sunday afternoon last, December 6.

Gardaí in Cavan are now asking the public to assist them with their investigation, and in particular are looking to speak to anyone in the Railway area of the town between the hours of 4:30pm and 6:30pm.

Gardaí also anxious too to track the whereabouts and movements of a van with a roof-rack, believed to have been driven by a male described as aged in his 30s-40s.
