Trees planted by Tidy Towns stolen in Bailieborough

Gardaí are investigating

Bailieboro Tidy Towns Committee has reported the overnight theft of five young Silver Birch/Betula trees and 30 Beech hedge plants from along the Cavan road near the entrance to Castle Lake in Bailieboro.

They were planted, along with others, only last week by hard working volunteers of the Tidy Towns.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who has any information on the theft to please contact Bailieboro Garda Station on 042-9694570
