The death has occurred of Thomas (Moss) Hetherton, Carrick, Eighter, Virginia, Co. Cavan at Cavan General Hospital, peacefully, following a short illness on February 1st, 2021. Predeceased by his parents John and Bridget and his brothers Brian and Jack. Beloved husband of Breege and loving father of Regina (and her partner Gordon), Donna (and her partner Martin) and Gary (Australia) and loving Papa of his adored grandsons Brodi and Jonah.

Sadly missed by his family, his sisters Eilish (Carroll), Cait (Hughes, Virginia), Bridie (Brady, Maghera) and Margaret (Cullen), his brothers Jimmy, Mickey, Liam and Mattie (Dublin), brothers in law, sisters in law, his Aunts Margaret and Ann, Uncles Bob and Brian, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, his neighbours and friends.

Remains leaving Matthew's Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11.20am, arriving at St. Bartholomew's Church, Munterconnaught, via Carrick, Eighter, for 12 o'clock Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

In compliance with current Covid 19 guidelines, the Funeral Mass will be restricted to ten family members only. People are invited to form a guard of honour, if they so wish to, along the route of the funeral cortège from Matthew's Funeral Home, Virginia, via Carrick, Eighter, to St. Bartholomew's Church, Munterconnaught, as a mark of respect. We ask all those who wish to pay their respects along the routes to acknowledge social distancing at all times.

Mary Boylan (née McCaffrey)

Redhills, Cavan / Scotshouse, Monaghan

Mary Boylan (Nee McCaffrey), Redhills, Co. Cavan + Scotshouse, Co. Monaghan. 1st February 2021 peacefully at our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, deeply regretted by her loving husband Jimmy sons Kevin and Paul, daughter-in-law Marie relatives and friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Remains reposing at her residence in Scotshouse until removal on Wednesday morning arriving at the Church of the Immaculate Conception for 11am funeral Mass. Burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

In compliance with current Covid 19 guidelines the family home is strictly private, Mary's funeral Mass will be restricted to family members and close friends. Knocknagarten, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred suddenly of Mary Caffrey, Knocknagarten, Virginia, County Cavan and formerly of Ballyincurry, Glinsk, Co. Roscommon.

Predeceased by her husband Tommy. Sadly missed by her sons Thomas & John, daughters Angela, Catherine & Theresa, daughters in law Margaret & Geraldine, grandchildren Jamie, Andrew, Anthony, Brian, Rosemary, Amy & Maeve, her sisters Nonie & Eileen, brother in law Brendan, sisters in law Margaret & Kathleen and her extended family and neighbours.

Departing O’Dwyer’s Funeral Home this Tuesday, February 2nd at 10.40am for arrival at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Munterconnaught for funeral mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Ciaran Leddy, Kilnaglare, Butlersbridge & formerly Derryvackney, Milltown, Sunday 31st January 2021, peacefully in the loving care of the staff in Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Tom & Peggy & his parents in law Peter & Maisie Henry. Deeply regretted & sadly missed by his loving wife Louise & son Ryan, brother Thomas (Enfield), sister Bridget (New York), uncle Peter & aunt Peggy (New York), brothers in law Kevin, Oliver, Paul, Sean & Seamus, sisters in law Catherine, Susan, Deirdre & Caroline, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours & many friends.

Ciaran's remains will arrive at St. Aidan's Church, Butlersbridge, on Wednesday February 3rd, for funeral Mass at 12 noon & will be followed by burial in St Aidan's Cemetery, Butlersbridge.

Martina Martin (née McGoldrick)

Killycluggan, Ballyconnell, Cavan

Martina Martin (nee Mc Goldrick), Killycluggan, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan. February 1st 2021 peacefully at the Galway Clinic. Sadly missed by her loving husband Seamus, family Paula(Andrew), James (Aileen), Louise (Brett), Eoghan, sisters Mella & Louise, brothers Killian, Seamus, Allo, Damien, Noel, Paul & Kevin, grandchildren amee, Jack & Rian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to government and HSE covid restrictions Martina's Funeral Mass & burial will be strictly private in the presence of her family. Removal of her remains on Wednesday morning from Finnegan's Funeral Home, Cavan at 11 o'clock, arriving at St. Patrick's Church, Kilnavart for Funeral Mass at 12 o'clock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Removal from the funeral home for family only please.

Margaret Mc Cabe (née Higgins)

Derrylurgan, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Margaret passed away at Cavan General Hospital 1st February. Beloved wife of Paddy and loving mother of Kerry Ann (Steven), Jonathan (Dianne), Sarah (Martin) and Steven (Jennifer). Deeply regretted by her loving family, brother Willie, sister Violet, brothers in law, sisters in law, grandchildren, cousins, relatives and friends.

Kelly Ann, Annahale, Castleblayney died peacefully on Monday 1st February 2021.

Missed by her devoted husband Joe, sons Mark, Paul, sister Mary Lynch,

pre-decreased brothers Fr. Eamonn and Leo Cowan.

The Kelly family wish to thank Professor Jim Egan and all the staff at the National Heart and Lung transplant unit.

The death has occurred of David Alexander (Lexie) Mehaffy, Corragore, Rockcorry, Co. Monaghan and Luton, Bedfordshire, Tuesday, January 19th, after a long illness bravely borne. Predeceased by his wife Kathy, parents William and Garnet Mehaffy. Sadly missed by his loving son Jason, daughter-in-law Siobhan, grandchildren Thomas and Olivia, brothers William and Victor, sister Nan Bradford, relatives and a large circle of friends.
