Mary Ellen O'Reilly (née Sheridan)

Church Road, Kilnaleck, Cavan

Tuesday, February 9th (peacefully) in the care of Cavan General Hospital.

Pre-deceased by her husband Patsy, brothers James, John, sister Kathy Collins and niece Susan Rudden.

Sadly missed by her loving sister Maggie Flynn, brother in law Bruddy, sisters in law, nieces and nephew, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and her neighbours.

Jean Good (née Morrow)

Avalon, Coolboyogue, Butlersbridge, Cavan

Monday 8th February 2021 peacefully in Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her loving husband Bobby (John Robert) and daughter Donna.

Jean will be very sadly missed by her sons Keith and Justin, daughter Barbara, daughter-in-law Denise, adored grandchildren Emily-Jane, Holly-Amber, Tara and Keira, brothers Irwin, Colin and Robert, sisters-in-law Vera, Geraldine and Pat, brother in-law Joe and family, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral cortege leaving Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Thursday afternoon at 12.45pm travelling via Avalon, Coolboyogue, Derryhoo, Milltown village, arriving at Drumlane Parish Church at 2pm for funeral service followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers would be most appreciated by the family to Coronary Care, Cavan General Hospital, and Cancer Research in care of Clive Magee Funeral Director or any family member.

Due to current government guidelines, the family home and funeral will be private for family, please.

Anthony (Tony) Murphy

Killycramph, Cootehill, Cavan / Enniscorthy, Wexford

Died 8th February 2021, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Eileen, brother Pat.

Nicholas Justine O'Brien

Killeeter, Mullagh, Cavan / Kells, Meath

In loving memory of Nicholas Justine O' Brien, born on the 1st of December 1992, who died peacefully in his home in Ashfield House, Killeeter, Mullagh, Co. Cavan.

Nicholas will be missed by his heartbroken parents, Dolores and Laurence, brother Laurence Og (Ho) and sisters, Heather (Ha) and Abigail (Abby), he was the light of our lives.

Nicholas' loving nature brightened every single person he came in contact with. He will be deeply missed. He loved so many and was loved by so many more. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deep gratitude.

Nicholas will be leaving his residence at 10:30am on Thursday, the 11th of February.

A private Funeral Mass will be held at 11am, at St. Kilian's Church, Mullagh. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

As a mark of respect for Nicholas, Supervalu Kells will remain closed on Thursday the 11th of February.

Anne Bennett

Cross Street, Kells, Meath

The death has occurred peacefully of Anne Bennett, Cross Street Kells Co. Meath and formerly Dublin following a short illness in the loving care of the medical staff of Our Lady's Hospital Navan and her devoted family and friends.

Anne's remains will leave her residence on Wednesday afternoon, 10th February, at 12.30pm to arrive at St. Colmcille's Church for private funeral Mass at 1pm, followed by private cremation at Lakeland's Crematorium Cavan.

Anne was predeceased by her parents Jane and Martin, brother John, her sister Marie, her baby grandson Shéa and her niece Mary.

Anne is survived by her loving daughter Amy and son Trevor and her devoted and loving partner Mags, her sisters Elizabeth, and Martie, her nephews and nieces and her extended family Mandy, James, and Jenny, relatives and a large circle of friends in Kells and Dublin.

Anne will be fondly remembered as a friendly, warm hearted lady, with a great sense of style, a wonderful singer, who entertained many gatherings and venues for many years.

She was a loyal supporter of the Dublin team and loved the company of family and friends.

Her gentle presence around Kells will be greatly missed by many.

Mary Kathleen (Kate) Fox (née Finnegan)

Corcrin, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

7th February 2021. Suddenly at her home, surrounded by her beloved family.

Predeceased by her infant son Gerard, her grandson Nathan, her parents Frank & Molly, her sister Bernie and her brother Pat.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family, her husband Gerry, her sons Paddy, Francie & Damien, her daughters Pauline & Geraldine, her daughters-in-law Samantha & Evelyn, Paddy's partner Irene and Geraldine's partner Darren, her adored grandchildren Stephanie, Valine, Aaron, Josh, Daniel, Dylan, Naomi, Aoife, Cillian & Dominic, her great-grandchildren NJ, Layla & Zach, her brothers Joe, Jimmy, Michael, Thomas, Peter & Gerard, her sisters Breige (Neary), Rose (Lee), Anne (Kelly) & Geradline (Gleeson), her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

In accordance with current guidelines Kate's Funeral Mass will take place privately for family only (limited to 10) in St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, on Thursday, 11th February, at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Carrickmacross.

There will be an opportunity for the community to pay their respects, in a socially distanced manner, by lining the route as Kate's funeral cortège travels from her home on Thursday morning at 10:20am via Ballymackney, Dundalk Road and proceeding on foot via Farney Street to St. Joseph's Church.

To keep each other safe it is important that we follow government and HSE guidelines, wear face coverings, adhere to social distancing and refrain from hand shaking and hugging.

Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, Tuesday 9th February 2021.

Predeceased by his parents George and Julia, brother Michael and sister Ann. Sadly missed and dearly loved by his wife Maura and children George, Mel, Julie and Justin, daughters-in-law Jackie and Fiona, Justin’s partner Derrice, twin-brother James (England) and PJ (Panama), sisters-in-law Bernadette, Christina and Agnes, brother-in-law Patsy, grandchildren Teagan, George, Kody, Tyler, Ellie-Mae, Kourtney and twins Korey and Sienna, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

In an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and in respect of Government Guidelines for Level 5, there will be no public wake at McKitterick’s house. We ask friends and neighbours to respect the families’ wishes in this regard.

There will be an opportunity for neighbours and friends to pay their respects on Thursday morning by lining the route to St. Michael’s in a socially distanced manner as George’s funeral cortège will leave his late residence on Thursday 11th Feb via Corduff Cross to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Corduff for Requiem Mass at 11am, which will be celebrated privately by his family (limited to 10).
