Thomas (Tom) Faulkner

The death has occurred of Tom Faulkner, Billis, New Inn, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan, on Monday, March 1, 2021, suddenly at Cavan General Hospital. Sadly missed by his wife Alice, sons Clinton and Sam, daughter Donna and family, mother Eunice, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, cousins, family and friends.

Leaving his home at 12.00 o'clock on Thursday March 4 to arrive at Billis Parish Church for funeral service at 12.30pm. Burial afterwards in adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please donations if so desired to Alzheimer's society of Ireland care of Freddie Kettyle undertaker Billis, Virginia or any family member. House private to family only please.

In keeping with current government guidelines regarding public gatherings Tom's Funeral will be private for family only (limit to 10 people in Church). For those who wish to leave a message of condolence you may do so on the condolence section of RIP.ie

Robert (Bob) Henry

The death has occurred peacefully of Robert (Bob) Henry, Coronagh, Virginia, Co Cavan on March 1, 2021, peacefully in the care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Helen, sons Alfred and James, daughter in law Linda, grandchildren Aoife, Emma and Jamie, brothers Joe and Eamon and sister Irene (Farrelly), sisters-in-law Bella, Ann Joe and Mina, brothers-in-law John, Moss and Dio, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Bob’s Funeral cortège will leave Matthews Funeral Home at 2.45 o’clock on Thursday afternoon, via Ryefield and Munterconnaught Road, to arrive at Virginia Parish Church for 3.30 o’clock service followed by private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium at 5.15 o’clock. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Virginia Cancer Care Fund c/o the Funeral Director or any family member.

People are invited to form a guard of honour, if they so wish to, along the route of the funeral cortège from Matthew's Funeral Home, Virginia, via Ryefield and Munterconnaught Road, as a mark of respect. We ask all those who wish to pay their respects along the routes to acknowledge social distancing at all times.

Bob’s family would like to acknowledge the wonderful kindness, exceptional care and devotion of all the staff who looked after him in Surgical 2 and PDU in Cavan General Hospital.

Bridget (Bridgie) Lyons

The death has occurred on the 16th February 2021 of Bridget (Bridgie) Lyons (nee Lynch) Acton, London and formerly Dingins, Corlismore, Arva, Co. Cavan.

Beloved wife and best friend of Johnny (deceased). Devoted mother to Enda, Marie and Geraldine. Will be sadly missed by her family and relatives, including her sister, Teresa Smith, Main Street, Arva, Co. Cavan, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Bridgie’s funeral Mass will take place in Acton, Wednesday, 3rd March, at 10am.

James (Fonso) Rogers

The death has occurred of Rogers James (Fonso) (Monkstown, Co. Dublin and formerly of Kingscourt, Co. Cavan) March 1, 2021. Peacefully with Teresa by his side and in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Joseph’s, Shankill. Dearly beloved husband of Teresa and wonderful Dad to Sandra, Colin, Alan and Brónagh. Very sadly missed by his wife, daughters, sons, brother Mattie, sisters Annette and Carmel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, daughter-in-law Emily, sons-in-law Gary and Phil, his adored grandchildren Sorcha, James and Nathan, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and a wide circle of friends especially his lifelong friend Séan. May James now rest in peace.

Lorraine Taylor (nee Winston)

The death has occurred of Lorraine Taylor (née Winston) Cargagh, Killinkere, Virginia, Cavan / Coolock, Dublin. Lorraine passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving and heartbroken family, aged 57 years. Predeceased by her dear mother Rose. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her husband and best friend, Tony, her father Michael (Drumfomina, New Inn, Ballyjamesduff), son Karl, daughters Delina and Deana, her siblings Jacqui, Gerard, Michael and David, her adored grandchildren Lee, Sophie, Jake, Josh, Jordan, Jamie, Cian and Darcie and her great-grandchildren Charlie and Braea, daughter in law, sons in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many many friends. Reposing privately, for family and close friends only, on Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm at The Village Chapel Of Rest, Mullagh. Requiem Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning in St. Ultan's Church, Killinkere, at 11am, followed by interment, alongside her beloved mother Rose, in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Virginia.
