Unsettled weather to continue

After the torrential downpours yesterday and the four-seasons-in- one-day the day before the unsettled weather looks to continue of the weekend.

Fresh and blustery today with a mix of sunny spells and showers, some of them heavy with hail and a risk of isolated thunderstorms. Some wintry falls are possible and along with a risk of hail may result in some tricky road conditions. The showers will be most frequent in the west and north. Highest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty west to northwest winds.

Showers will continue tonight but will ease from the southwest overnight with clear spells developing. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees in mostly moderate westerly winds.

Cloud will increase from the northwest tomorrow morning as rain and drizzle pushes in from the Atlantic. The rain will extend to all areas during the day and will turn heavy at times in the northwest. A clearance to scattered showers will follow during the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds.
