It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Eugene Lynch

Doureagh, Mountain Lodge, Cootehill, Cavan

Eugene Lynch (ex cattle dealer and Kingscourt Mart agent) late of Doureagh, Mountain Lodge, Cootehill, Co.Cavan. Died 17th April 2021, peacefully at his residence. Predeceased by his parents Eugene and Annie and his brother John (England). Deeply regretted by his loving family brothers, Mikey and Pat (Longford) sisters, Gretta Smith (Drung) and Cissie Clarke (Knockateggart), nieces, nephews, cousins, good neighbours, relatives and many friends.

May he Rest in Peace.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, Eugene's reposing, funeral Mass and burial will be private to family only please. Removal from his late residence this Monday afternoon at 2.30pm arriving at St. Patrick's Church, Carrickallen for 3pm funeral Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Those standing along the route to pay their final respects to Eugene are asked to adhere to social distancing guidelines please.

Jim Reid

24 Ard Glas, Killygowan, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Jim Reid, 24 Ard Glas, Killygowan, Monaghan. Sunday 18th April at Cavan General Hospital.

Pre-deceased by his father Louis, mother Louise and brothers Anthony & Baby Joseph.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Colm, Pat & Paul, sisters Celia & Tricia, sister in law Kathryn, brothers in law Hugh & John, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Jim's remains will repose at McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale H18 FK80, Monday from 6-8pm (please adhere to social distancing guidelines at all times).
