It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie.

Eugene O'Reilly

Moylett, Bailieborough, Cavan

Eugene O'Reilly Moylett, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, died 21st April 2021, suddenly, at Virginia Primary Care.

Predeceased by his parents James and Mary, sisters Mollie and Theresa. Deeply regretted by his sister Katheen (Sheridan) and brother James, brother in law John, sister in law Monica, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and extended family and friends.

Due to current government and HSE guidelines, Eugene's funeral will be private to family only.

Funeral procession will leave Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough, on Friday morning at 10.30am, (hearse will pause at Gola Cross for a moment) to arrive at St Mary's Church, Clonaphilip, for funeral Mass at 11am.

Mass can be viewed live on Clarke's funeral home Facebook page link https://www.facebook.com/clarkesfuneraldirectors/ ( if there is a break in live transmission the funeral mass will be recored and available to view on friday evening ) Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Please adhere to social distancing guidelines for those who are standing along the funeral procession.

Kathleen Browne (née O'Connor)

McKeon Terrace, Patrick Street, Mullingar, Westmeath / Virginia, Cavan

Kathleen Browne (née O’Connor) – McKeon Terrace, Patrick Street, Mullingar, Co Westmeath and formerly Eighter, Virginia, Co Cavan – April 21, 2021 (peacefully) in the company of her devoted family and in the wonderful care of the management and staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.

Beloved wife and best friend of Paddy and very dear mother of John; she will be greatly missed by her husband and son, daughter-in-law Fiona, sisters Mary (Mayb) Carolan, Eva Mara and Annie Caldwell, sister-in-law Betty, brothers-in-law J.J., Jimmy and Paddy, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

In keeping with current Government guidelines, a private family funeral will take place on Friday at 12 noon and can be viewed on the live webcam at www.mullingarparish.ie

Jason (Spud) Mc Elvaney

24 North Road, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

The sudden and untimely death has occurred of Jason (Spud) Mc Elvaney, 24 North Road, Monaghan Town on the 21st April 2021.

Predeceased by his grandmother Gretta Connolly, North Rd, and his grandfather Peter Mc Elvaney, Threemilehouse.

Jason will be sadly mourned by his heartbroken parents Michelle & Gerard, his sister Karen, brothers Stephen, Declan and Aaron.

His grandmother Kathleen Mc Elvaney, Threemilehouse and his grandfather Sean Connolly, North Rd.

Jason will be also be fondly remembered by his adored nephews, Jack, Thomas, Logan, his nieces Sophia and Kayleigh Rose, all his aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and his wide circle of friends.

Jason will be reposing at his family home.

His walking procession will leave at 10am on Saturday morning via Glaslough St and Dublin St to arrive at St Macartan's Cathedral for 11am funeral Mass.

Burial afterwards in St Joseph's new cemetery, Latlurcan.

Jasons funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family only, and will be live streamed on the following link: https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/st-macartans-cathedral-monaghan.

Due to Covid 19, Jasons family home is strictly private at all times.

Please exercise social distancing at all times and refer to Covid safety guidelines when assembling on route.
