N3 to be remain closed until evening
One male aged in his 30s was conveyed to Cavan hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The N3 outside of Cavan Town is to remain closed until evening at least after a two-vehicle traffic collision last night.
The closure of the distance between the turn for Loreto outside Butlersbridge to the the Ballyhaise turn-off is in order to facilitate a full garda forensic investigation of the scene.
The crash, in the Deggan area, involved a truck and a car.
One male aged in his 30s was conveyed to Cavan hospital for treatment of his injuries.
A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana confirmed this morning: “Gardaí attended the scene of a two-vehicle traffic collision last night, the 21st of April, 2021 on the N3 in the Deggan area of Cavan, Co Cavan. One truck and one car were involved in this collision.
They added: “One male aged in his 30s was conveyed to Cavan hospital for treatment of his injuries.”
Local diversions are currently in place.
