Sports Club Grant Scheme Opens

Cavan County Council has indicated that The Cavan Sports Partnership Sports Club Grant Scheme 2021 is now open for applications. Eligible clubs can apply for funding under one of three headings. The grants are available for equipment, training and participation.

The first category, equipment grants, is open to sporting clubs and disability sporting groups affiliated with their National Governing Body (NGB) of sport. The maximum fund available is €300. The deadline to get completed online equipment grant applications is Thursday May 20.

The training and education grant is open to sporting clubs and community groups. This allows individual coaches attend NGB course and affords clubs the chance to upskill their coaches, The fund will cover up to 50% of an individual course costing a minimum of €40 with the club cost set at a maximum of €300. The deadline to get completed online Training and Education applications submitted is November 30.

The participation grant has three levels: Gold (€3,000), Silver (€1,300) and Bronze (€500). The aim of the participation grant is to create a new opportunity or a more sustainable participation element in clubs and communities. This grant is open to sporting clubs and community groups.

Youth Organisations are ineligible for these grants as they qualify under the CMETB youth club grant scheme.
