Housing programme gathers pace

Work has resumed on the construction of 19 homes at ‘Gort an Tobair’, Main Street, Mullagh.

The €3.4 million development of seven two-bed bungalows, and 12 three-bed, two-storey units, funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government, and Heritage, is being undertaken by Sean Quigley Contracts Ltd, with Sweeney Architects undertaking the design work, overseen by Cavan County Council’s Housing Construction team.

Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, Cllr Sarah O’Reilly, said: “It’s great to see housing projects in the county get back up to speed so quickly after the lifting of restrictions on construction. On behalf of all my fellow elected members, I applaud all involved in the project from its inception through to delivery, and I’m sure these high-quality homes will bring a lifetime of happy memories to their new tenants."
