It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie.

The death has occurred of Philip (Phil) O'Reilly, Carrigan, Ballinagh, Cavan.

Died on May 7, unexpectedly at Cavan General Hospital.

May He Rest In Peace. Funeral arrangements later.

The death has occurred of Thomas (Tommy) Frazer, Tarmon, Blacklion, Co. Cavan. Peacefully. Predeceased by his wife Margaret, Sadly missed by his daughter Elizabeth, close friend George, many neighbours and friends.

Funeral Service on Sunday in the Church of Ireland, Killinagh, Blacklion at 2pm, followed by burial afterwards in the old Churchyard, Thornhill, Blacklion. Due to Government Guidelines the funeral will be private. Anyone wishing to offer their sympathies may do so in the "condolence" section below.

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Mills, Killycar, Milltown, Belturbet, Cavan.

Died on May 6, after a short illness, peacefully, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Pat, deeply regretted by his loving wife Olive (nee North), son John, daughters Ann, Angela & Geraldine, daughter-in-law Jackie, son's-in-law Eamon,Shane & Sean. Sadly missed by his adored grandchildren Ashleigh, Amy, Molly, Shane, Lily, Dean, Haylie, Daisy & Tommy, his cousin Cecil & wife Joan, brother-in-law Jim & wife Mary, sister-in-law Hilda & husband Brian, relatives & many friends.

Reposing in his home at Killycar, Milltown from 4pm Friday & Saturday, Pat's home is private to family and friends. Removal to St Patrick's Church Milltown at approximately 11.40 am on Sunday, 9th May 2021, via Killycar, Drumgesh, Lodge Cross to Milltown for Funeral Mass at 12.00 o clock. For those who wish to express their respect to the Mills family along the route, Pat's home will remain private to family only Sunday morning.

Due to current government and HSE guidelines, Pat's funeral will be private to family and friends only. Please feel free to leave a message of condolence in the section below. For those who are standing along the route of the funeral procession please adhere to social distancing guidelines.

The death has occurred of Maurice O'Reilly, Kingsbury, London and Knocktemple, Virginia, Cavan / Bruff, Limerick / Balbriggan, Dublin

Suddenly, at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London. Aged 51 years. Predeceased by his mother, Anne (nee O'Brien) and his brother Kieran (Mountnugent, Co. Cavan). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Noreen (nee Whelan), his father, Jim and siblings, Brendan (Dublin), Marian (Peterborough, U.K.), Michelle (Edinburgh, Scotland) and Declan (Bunratty, Co. Clare), mother-in-law, Helen Whelan (Balscadden,Dublin), brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and large circle of friends both in the U.K. and Ireland.

Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Monday, 17th May, at 12 noon in The Church of St. Sebastian & St. Pancras, Hay Lane, NW9 0NG, followed by repatriation to Ireland to repose at The Duff Funeral Home, 89 Strand St., Skerries, Dublin on Sunday, 23rd May, from 6pm to 8pm (family only), Requiem Funeral Mass on Monday, 24th May, at 12 noon in St Peter & Paul's Church, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, with interment in Flemington Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Larry Dowdall, peacefully in the presence of his wife Joan, daughter Orlaith and son Damien at home in Blackstaff Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan.

Reposing at Magee's Funeral Home, Inniskeen. Removal on Saturday morning at 10.15am to The Church of Mary Mother of Mercy, Inniskeen for 11am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards St. Mary's Cemetery Inniskeen.

Dear son of the late Laurance and Mary Dowdall, Miskish. Beloved husband of Joan (nèe Quigley). Much loved father of Neville, Damien, Fiona and Orlaith. Sadly missed by sister Maggie Callaghan, daughter-in-law Mel, grandchildren and sisters-In-law. Deeply regretted by entire family circle.

There will be an opportunity for the community to support the family and to remember Larry by being present on route, socially distanced, on Saturday morning the 8th of May as Larry’s funeral cortège passes Drumass, Finnegans Cross, Ballyrush, Knock, Miskish, Magoney, Blackstaff, Moyles and Ednamoe to Church of Mary Mother of Mercy.

Due to government guidelines the Funeral Home and house are private please. Larry’s Funeral Mass is limited to 25 family members.

The family would like to thank you for your sympathy and support during this difficult time.

The death has occurred of Margaret Markey (née Duffy), Donaghmoyne, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan Thursday 6th May 2021, peacefully at her residence. Beloved wife and best friend of Kevin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her brothers Paddy, John, Ben, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

There will be an opportunity for neighbours and friends to pay their respects on Saturday morning by lining the route to St. Lastra’s Church, Donaghmoyne in a socially distanced manner as Margaret’s funeral cortège will leave her late residence on Saturday to arrive at St Lastra's Church, Donaghmoyne for Requiem Mass at 11am, which will be celebrated privately by her family (limited to 25). Private cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Co. Cavan.

The death has occured of Bernard (Benny) O'Reilly, Emmet Terrace, Navan, Meath / Glaslough, Monaghan

Retired ESB.

Peacefully in his 88th year, surrounded by his family and the caring staff at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan.

Benny will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Maureen, son David (Kingscourt), daughters Orla Smith (Virginia) and Aisling Boland (Navan), 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, sons-in-law Gerry and Stewart, daughter-in-law Mary, brother Francie (Armagh), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Benny will be leaving his home on Saturday morning at 10 am to arrive at St. Mary’s Church Navan for Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, which can be viewed on https://www.navanparish.ie/livestream.

Burial afterward in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
