Anti-social behaviour at Nun's Walk condemned

Gardaí have urged people to act responsibility after broken glass and discarded rubbish were left along the Nun's Walk in Ballyjamesduff at the weekend, following reports of alleged anti-social behaviour in the area.

Gardaí came across the mess when patrolling the area, adjacent to the County Museum.

“There was a lot of broken glass and discarded rubbish at the scene,” gardaí posted on social media.

“Our amenities and beauty spots are there for everyone. With the public health restrictions easing and the improving weather these locations are going to be busier with more people coming to enjoy them.”

They add: “Please when out and about think of the people who are coming after you to visit and those who have to clean up. Bring your rubbish home and respect the environment.”
