Bicycle marking event to be held

Cavan Community Engagement Unit will hosting a bicycle marking event this weekend.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 12, between 1pm and 4pm at Drumalee GFC in Cavan Town.

“So many bicycles are stolen every year and recovered but it's difficult to reunite them with their owner,” gardaí say promoting the initiative.

“By marking your bike with your Eircode will leave it traceable if stolen and increases the chances of it being returned. If you have a bicycle and want to get it marked please come along.”
