CAPS complete mini-marathon fundraiser

Members and supporters of Cavan Autism Parents Support CLG conducted a Mini Marathon event at the weekend.

Among them was Crosserlough native Bernie Nelson, who completes the distance for her 20th consecutive year.

“This is my 20th year of doing the Mini Marathon, fundraising for autism. Thank you to everyone who has joined me over the years. We've had some great times (Gingerbread and all). I couldn't have done this without each and every one of you. You all have made such a difference to the children and young adults on the autism spectrum in county Cavan and surrounding areas.”

C.A.P.S provides support and activities for families of children with autism living locally.

Ms Boylan said after: “Hopefully this Summer we'll get back to doing what we do best, providing fun activities (safely) for our members.”
