Betty McGuire (née Russell)

Prescot, Liverpool and, Mullagh, Cavan

The death has occurred of Betty McGuire (née Russell) of Mullagh, Co Cavan and Prescot, Liverpool.

McGuire, Betty (née Russell), formerly of Mullagh, Co Cavan later of Prescot, Liverpool, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on June 22nd 2021. Very sadly missed by her loving husband Tom, sons Seán, Kevin and Fergal, daughters-in-law Siobhán, Louise and Sheelagh, adored grandchildren Aoife, Pádraig, Róisín, Katie, Thomas, Ciara, Conor and Anna, sister Sheila, brothers Seán, Emmet and Paddy, sister-in law Pauline and adored nieces Katie and Anna and nephews Liam, Barry and Martin, all other extended family, friends and neighbours.

May she Rest in Peace.

Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his nephew Barry and his brothers Michael and Tommie.

Deeply regretted by his wife Una, his sister Mary B (Sissie) his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Due to HSE restrictions a private Funeral will take place in St Patrick's Church Shercock on Saturday 26th June at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Anyone wishing to stand on the roadside to greet the funeral cortege from Peter's residence to the church may do so while maintaining social distance.

Peggy McConnell (née Butler)

Hillview, Doogarry, Killeshandra, Cavan

Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her loving husband Hugh.Sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Angela, Margaret and Veronica, son Thomas, sons-in-law John Costello and Bartley Gavin, grandchildren Suzanne, Dallan, Oisín, Paddy, Tom and Kate, sister Angela Fallon (Dublin), sister-in-law Emily Butler (Bray) and her beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her home in Doogarry from 4pm until 7pm tomorrow, Friday, 25th June, for family, neighbours and close friends. Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Ballyconnell for Funeral Mass at 12 noon restricted to family and close friends with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Townparks Manor, Kells, Meath / Ballinamore, Leitrim / Celbridge, Kildare / Cavan Town, Cavan

O'Hara, Bertie (Eugene), Townparks Manor, Kells and formerly of Ballinamore, Celbridge and Cavan, 23rd June 2021. Predeceased by his daughter Mary. Remembered by Breda, children Sinéad, Clodagh and Eoghan, granddaughters Helen and Alison, sons-in-law Dave Powell and Shane Monaghan, his sister Maureen Cytryn (New York), extended family and friends.

Fay Edward

Drumsheeny, Threemilehouse, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Edward Fay, Drumsheeny, Threemilehouse, Co.Monaghan, Thursday 24th June 2021, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary and adored father of Jackie (John, Dolan), Colin, Suzanne (Shane McConnon), Martin (Orna) and Declan. Edward will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughters, sons, grandchildren Aaron, Lisa, Daire, Naoise, Ciaran, Oran and Clodagh, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and by all who knew and loved him.

Edward will repose at his residence, Drumsheeny, Threemilehouse amongst his family, from 4pm tomorrow Friday, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Edward's funeral cortège will travel from the family home at approximately 1.20pm (Via Togan Bridge) to arrive at the St Mary's Chapel, Threemilehouse for 2pm Funeral Mass on Saturday afternoon 26th June. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Due to COVID 19 government restrictions, the Mass and burial will be private to family and friends and restricted to 50 people. For those who wish to pay their respects, please adhere to HSE guidelines and maintain 2m social distance.

Molly McKenna (née Evans)

Tullybryan, Brandrum, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Peacefully at her home, in her 101st year. Predeceased by her husband James. Sadly missed by her daughters Mary, Eileen, Kate and Ann, sons Pat, Michael, Paul and Gene, sons in law, daughters in law, all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends.

Molly is reposing at her home among her family. The wake and funeral will be in accordance with HSE/Government guidelines. Removal on Saturday at 11.15 a.m., arriving, via Cortolvin Bridge, at St. Mary’s Church, Threemilehouse for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. James Ward

Emmet Road, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of James Ward, Emmet Road, Carrickmacross and formerly Corleck, Lisdoonan, Co. Monaghan, Thursday 24th June 2021 unexpectedly at his residence. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Elizabeth, also his sisters Mary and Bridie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brother Michael, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross (A81 C653) on Saturday morning from 8am. Removal to St. Lastra's Church, Donaghmoyne for Requiem Mass at 10am, which will be celebrated privately by his family. Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery.
