It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Kenneth Smith

The death has occurred of Kenneth Smith Drumnagran, Tullyvin, Cootehill, Cavan and formerly of Whitehall, Co. Dublin, June 28, 2021, peacefully, in the presence of his loving family. Much loved son of John and Maura, beloved partner of Zornitsa, devoted father to Emma and Harry. Dear brother of Gareth and Sandra and former husband of Paula. Sadly missed by his loving family, brother in law Damien, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and colleagues in DCU.

Funeral cortege will leave his parents' home, Drumnagran, Tullyvin, Cootehill, Cavan, at 2.30pm on Thursday, July 1, to arrive to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, for private cremation at 3pm. Friends and neighbours are welcome to line the route in a safe and socially distanced manner as a mark of respect of Kenneth. The Smith family would like to thank you for your cooperation and consideration at this difficult time.

Kathleen A. Smith

The death has occurred of Kathleen A. Smith (née Gilligan) of Knockateggart, Stradone, Cavan / Tubbercurry, Sligo and llate of New York. Beloved wife of the late Michael, Knockateggart, Stradone, Cavan. Devoted mother of Kevin (Caitlyn). Proud grandmother of Etain. Survived by her brother, Denis and sister Fidelma. May she rest in peace. Funeral arrangements later.

Lily Kelly

The death has occurred of Lily Kelly, Annahean, Carrickmacross, Monaghan Monday, June 28 2021, peacefully, in the tender loving care of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her husband Harry, brothers Peter, Patrick, James and her sister Mai. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, Dermot, Bernard and Mary, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, brother-in-law Tim, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace. In an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and in respect for Government Guidelines, there will be no public wake.

There will be an opportunity for neighbours and friends to pay their respects on Thursday morning as Lily’s funeral cortège will leave her late residence via Roe’s Cross and Lannat Cross to arrive at St. Enda’s Church, Killanny, for Requiem Mass at 11am, which will be celebrated privately by her family (limited to 50). Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
