An Bord Pleanála review mast applications
A number of planning applications by Eircom to extend the height of masts turned down by the planning department of Cavan County Council have been appealed to An Bord Pleanála.
The communication company had four applications processed by the local authority in May, with the planners granting permission for one.
Applications by Eir (Eircom Ltd) for the replacement of an existing telecommunications support structure in Drumalt, Arva; for an 18m high monopole telecommunications support structure at the Eir Exchange, off Granard Street, Moodoge Td, in Ballyjamesduff; and an 18m high monopole telecommunications support structure together with antennas, dishes and associated equipment at the Eir Exchange, Junction of Saint Mary’s Road and Bailieboro Road, Kingscourt, were refused and all appealed to the national planning body.
An Bord Pleanála say they expect the Kingscourt application to be completed by September 29; while the Ballyjamesduff and Arva applications are due for a decision by September 4.
