A hundred reasons for Margaret to celebrate

There were celebrations in College View Nursing Home yesterday (Tuesday) when one of the residents, Margaret Brady from Cavan Town, toasted her 100th birthday with a glass of brandy.

Her face lit up when she saw all the cards and flowers and Margaret enjoyed cutting the cake with the other residents and staff applauding her deft touch.

A lady of quiet calm demeanour, Margaret quipped “that brandy went down well” and she enjoyed every moment of the party. Her broad smile said it all.

Margaret loves to spend her time in the day room with the other residents and watching television and also loves her visits from family and friends.
