Kill NS extension to go to tender

Minister for Education and Skills Norma Foley announced funding for the project last year.

A major building project for Kill National School, Cootehill is set to go to tender.

This project will consist of the provision of mainstream classroom accommodation with en-suite facilities and also special education teaching rooms and will enhance considerably the school’s facilities.

Confirmation of the allocation of the funding was given under the Additional Accommodation Scheme. by the Minister for Education and Skills Norma Foley last year.

Fianna Fail's Brendan Smith welcomed the latest progress made on the project.

“I welcome the decision by my colleague Norma Foley TD to approve a major building project for Kill National School, Cootehill to go to tender,” he said, further complementing the Chair and Board of Management, Principal and staff colleagues as well as Parents’ Association for their work in bringing the project to this stage.

“I am glad to have been able to support this application for additional accommodation in view of the increase in enrolment at Kill National School over recent years. I wish all the school community well with this building project,” he stated.
