Warm, dry and mostly sunny day

After the deluge of last weekend it appears we are getting the final flushes of summer this week. As the children's are due to return to school the sun makes its taunting appearance.

The mist and fog will mostly clear this morning, but it will linger in some areas, especially along parts of the east coast. Overall, it will be a warm, dry and mostly sunny day. Highest temperatures of 21 to 25 degrees generally, warmest in the west. However, it will be slightly cooler in southern and eastern parts in light, occasionally moderate, east to south-east breezes.

Dry and mostly fine tonight, but mist and fog patches will develop. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 14 degrees in light easterly or variable breezes.

Dry and very warm on Wednesday with good spells of sunshine generally though there is the chance of a light stray showers occurring where cloud builds. Mist and fog will linger in parts too, mainly along northern coasts. Highest temperatures of 21 to 25 or 26 degrees in light north-easterly breezes.
