Public thanked after trailer recovered

Burglary at a house near Magheracloone investigated

The public have been thanked for their support after their assistance helped gardaí recover a trailer stolen in Co Monaghan earlier this month.

“Thanks to the vigilance of a member of the community the trailer has been recovered,” gardaí posted on social media.

Gardaí in Carrickmacross had asked for the public’s assistance in regards the theft of a single axle trailer, red in colour, taken overnight, August 16-17, from a shed at the rear of an empty premises in Ballybay town.

Gardaí in Carrickmacross are meanwhile also investigating a burglary at a house in Crumlin, Magheracloone that occurred August 14 at approximately 1:45pm.

It’s understood three males were disturbed at the scene and fled the area at speed driving in a blue Saab, partial registration 08 D, in the Kingscourt direction.
