Weekend weather to remain dry and sunny

Dry settled weather will remain for much of the next week.

Mist and fog will clear to give a dry day with long spells of sunshine throughout Saturday.

High pressure will continue to bring dry settled weather over Ireland for much of the next week.

“Highest temperatures of 19 to 24 degrees, best values across the west. Winds will be light, varying in direction,” say forecaster Met Eireann.

Saturday night will also be dry, with patches of mist or fog and cloudier in north Connacht and north Ulster with perhaps a little coastal drizzle.

Lowest temperatures of 9 to 14 degrees in light variable breezes.

The best of Sunday's good weather meanwhile will be in the south.

Highs ranging from 17 degrees in the north to 23 degrees in the south, in light northerly breezes.
