It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Michael Ferguson

Merlyn Park, Ballsbridge, Dublin / Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred peacefully of Michael Ferguson, Merlyn Park, Ballsbridge, Dublin and Ramor Close, Virginia, Co. Cavan and formerly of Crosskeys, Co. Cavan, peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his brothers James and Tony. Much loved husband of Elizabeth (Lyda) and loving father of John and Mary.

Deeply regretted by his wife, his son and daughter, and their partners Sarah Jane and Sean, his brothers Paddy (Poles, Cavan) and Tierney (Crosskeys), his sisters Mary (Galway), Anna (Nottingham U.K.) and Pauline (Crosskeys),sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rest In Peace.

Remains reposing at Matthews Funeral Home, Virginia (A82YV58) on Saturday evening from 6.30pm until 8.30pm.

Removal on Sunday to Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia, arriving for 3 o'clock Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings, the Funeral Mass will be restricted to 50 persons. Michael's Funeral Mass will be available to view online at 3pm on Sunday on the following link:.

Kathleen O'Reilly (née Galligan)

Derries Lower, Killeshandra, Cavan

Kathleen (Katie) O'Reilly (nee Galligan), Derries Lower, Killeshandra, County Cavan (and formerly of Oakview Nursing Home, Belturbet), 2nd September 2021, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband Philip, son Pee and brother Patsy. Sadly missed by her loving children Anna, Johnny, Katie, Minnie, Seamus, Bernie, Noel, Finny, Nuala and Majella; sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Helen, Annette and Maura; brother Philip, brother-in-law Mal, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May her Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her residence in the Derries on Friday, 3rd September, for family, friends and neighbours, from 2pm - 8pm until Removal on Saturday morning at 11.30am to St. Brigid's Church, Killeshandra, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Due to current Government and HSE guidelines, numbers at Katie's Funeral Mass are limited to family and close friends. The Funeral Mass can be viewed online at churchtv.ie/killeshandra.

Annie (Anne) BURNS

Dublin / Monaghan

BURNS, Annie (Anne) (Dublin and Monaghan) September 1, 2021, very peacefully in the loving care of all the staff at Sally Park Nursing Home, Firhouse, Dublin; predeceased by her sisters Moira Toal and Kathleen Murphy and her brother Eamonn Burns. Very deeply regretted by her loving sisters Eileen Fiddler and Rosaleen Brogan and brother Brendan Burns and his wife Sally. Annie will be sadly missed by her thirty-five nieces and nephews and her many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

She will also be sadly missed by her ‘Dublin’ family, the Fanagans of Bushy Park Road, namely John and Myra, who have gone before her, and their nine children, who she cared for and lived with for over forty years; Johnny, Paul (deceased), David, Susan, Sally Ann, Michael, Gary, Stephen (deceased) and Carol. Her passing is deeply regretted by them, their spouses and their families.

May she rest in peace.

In accordance with current Government guidelines and restrictions, a private Funeral Mass for family and friends will take place on Saturday morning at 11am at St. Joseph’s Church, Terenure.
