Loman Barber

The death has occurred of Loman Barber, Tierworker, Tierworker, Meath / Tierworker, Cavan and Woodford Green, Essex, died Friday morning, September 3, at his home, aged 88 years. Wife Sheila, son Perry, daughters Paula, Tina and Lisa, son in law Steve, grandchildren Oscar and Eladie, sisters Mary, Eileen, Joan and Cait. Loman will be laid to rest in the UK. John Brady

The death has occurred of John Brady Tonylion, Kilnaleck, Cavan who died Monday, September 6, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Sadly missed by his wife Mollie, sons Sean, Donal and Micheal, daughter Geraldine, sisters Kathleen and Molly (England), nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and neighbours. Rest in peace. Reposing at Briody's Funeral Home, Kilnaleck, on Tuesday evening (September 7) from 6pm to 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon in St. Patrick's Church, Kilnaleck. Interment afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Crosserlough. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to the Coronary Care Unit, Cavan Genral Hospital c/o Connie Briody Funeral Director or any family member.

In line with current Government and HSE guidelines, numbers at John's Funeral Mass will be restricted. Please adhere to social distancing at all times. Messages of Condolence can be left in the condolences section of RIP.ie. Funeral Mass will be streamed.

Cathal O'Riordan

The death has occurred of Cathal O'Riordan Killycannon and formerly College St, Cavan Town, Cavan, September 6, 2021, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Timothy and Marjorie, his infant daughter Mary, brothers Richard and Timmy and his sister Ann.

Cathal will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family; wife Patricia, children Niall (Maria), Edel (Kris) & Alan (Gen), his adored grandchildren, Adam, Kane, Ruairí & Abbie Ann, his sister Marion, brothers in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, all his relatives & many friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his home in Killycannon on Tuesday from 4pm until 8pm for family and close friends. House private to family at all other times. Cathal's remains will leave his home on Wednesday morning at 11am, travelling via College St, to the Cathedral of Saints Patrick & Felim, Cavan, for Funeral Mass at 11.30am.

A private cremation will take place afterwards. Those standing along the route are asked to observe social distancing guidelines and anyone who can't attend are asked to post their messages to the family in the condolences section of RIP.ie. P.J. Shannon

The death has occurred of P.J. Shannon Lakeland, Tunnyduff, Bailieborough, Cavan who died September 3, 2021. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Alice and his brother Francie. Survived by his heartbroken wife Catherine, sons Kieran and Neil, daughters Collette and Deirdre. His beloved grandchildren Pierce, Ronan, Bevin, Tristan, Kiera, Oisin, Cadain, Clionadh, Rian and Caomhan. Sadly missed by his brother Andy, Sisters Maire, Cathy and Mary Alice, sons-in-law Mano and Paul and daughters-in-law Louise and Kerrie. Brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, neices, relatives, neighbours and many friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his late residence, A82W1X2, from 6pm Monday evening. Removal Wednesday morning to St. Brigid's Church, Knockbride West via Caventymahon and Greagh Cross, arriving at 11am for Funeral Mass followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass will be held following current Covid 19 guidelines.

Malachy Prunty

The death has occurred of Malachy Prunty Foxrock, Dublin / Annyalla, Monaghan, September 5, 2021, on his 86th birthday, after a long illness, with great care in Blackrock Hospice. Beloved husband of the late Sighle, and much loved father to Caitríona (New Zealand), Brian, Emma, and the late Patricia. He will be sadly missed by his children, his partner Patricia Archer, sons-in-law Darryl, Tom and Ian, daughter-in-law Sarah Bean, grandchildren Liam, Lilly, Thomas, Maeve and Josie, sister Margaret Devine (Castlebar), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, the extended Archer family, his wonderful neighbours and wide circle of friends. Predeceased by his sister Rose, and brothers Fr Tony (Kiltegan Fathers), Pat, Eamonn, and Mick. Special thanks to the Heart Failure team at St Michael’s Hospital, Blackrock Hospice, his GP Dr Fahy, consultants, and his carers. May he rest in peace.
