Tommy Connell

Ross, Mountnugent, Meath / Mountnugent, Cavan

Tommy Connell, Ross, Mountnugent, Co. Meath, 17/10/21. Peacefully in Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Rose, sons Michael and Thomas, daughter Mary, sister Betty Leddy (Kilnaleck), grandchildren Eleanor, Saoirse, Kayla and Katie, niece, nephew, daughters-in-law Pauline and Tara, relatives and friends.

Removal from his residence on Tuesday morning for funeral Mass at 11am in the Church of Ss. Brigid and Fiach, Ballinacree. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Covid restrictions should be adhered to at all times. The Funeral attendance will be limited to fifty percent of church capacity. House private, please.

Rose (Aggie) Daly (née Goodwin)

Tullaghanstown, Navan, Meath / Redhills, Cavan

Formerly Redhills, Cavan. Predeceased by her husband Clement and infant baby Roseanna. Peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Rose will be very sadly missed by her daughter Mary, sons Peter, John, Gerry and Colm, grandchildren Jacqueline, Jennifer, Gary, Barry, Cian, Aoife and Tara, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Breege, Geraldine and Bernie, son-in-law Vincent, sister Ita, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at St. Joseph’s Chapel of Rest (C15 C425) on Wednesday at 4pm followed by removal at 6:15pm to arrive at The Church of The Assumption, Dunderry for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11am which can be viewed on https://www.youtube.com/c/JoeFinnegan. Burial afterwards in Dunderry Cemetery.

Anna Keenan (née McCarthy)

Ferney Place, Mahon, Cork / Cavan Town, Cavan

KEENAN (Ferney Place, Mahon, Cork and formerly of Cavan Town): On October 16th 2021, unexpectedly in the presence of her loving family ANNA (née McCarthy), dearly beloved wife of Donie, adored mother of John, Norman, Annmarie, Stuart, Elaine and Stephen, dear sister of Danny, Kathleen, Mick and Maggie.

Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband and family, daughters-in-law Dionne, Nicola, Elaine and Sonya, sons-in-law Jim and Diarmuid, her cherished grandchildren James, Carley, Holly, Lauren Lee, Emma, Abby, Daniel, Jacob, Jack, Thomas, Lucy, Nathan and Alex, extended family, neighbours and friends especially Reene and Noel Cotter.

Reposing at the Temple Hill Funeral Home, Boreenmanna Road of Jerh.O’Connor Ltd: On Tuesday (October 19th) from 3.00pm to 4.00pm for family and close friends only.

Thomas O’Reilly, Drumauna, Drung and late of Lahard, Killeshandra. Beloved husband of Rose and dear father of Philip, Colm, Oliver and Rosemarie. Sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughter, son-in-law Brian Galligan, grandson Paídí, sisters-in-law. Predeceased by his brothers Eddie, Phil, Pat, James and sister May.

Reposing in Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan on Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 1pm in St. Brigid’s Church, Killeshandra with interment in adjoining cemetery. House Private at all times.

Suddenly at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, Co. Louth. Beloved wife of husband Michael and loving mother of Michael, Margaret, Breda, Patrick and Caroline. Mary will be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Shauna, Chloe, Kaitlyn, Mia, Zak, Asa, Lauren, Aaron, Jack and Ava, sister Teresa, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Evelyn Mc Garrell (nee Duncan) Lackafin, Broomfield, Castleblayney, Co.Monaghan. Monday, October 18th, peacefully at her residence. Evelyn, predeceased by her son Glen, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her family, husband Gene, sons Brendan, Mark, Aidan and Kieran, daughter Carmel, son in-law, daughters in-law, her 14 cherished grandchildren, brothers Liam and Brendan, sister May, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Evelyn will repose at her home in Lackafin, A75 TY 74 among family and friends, tomorrow, Tuesday, from 2pm until 7pm and again on Wednesday from 2pm until 7pm. Evelyn’s funeral cortège will travel from her home on Thursday morning at 10:15am to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Broomfield (via Aughnafarcon School and the N2) for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Eilish, predeceased by her husband Seamus, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her family, sons Sean (Westport), Seamus (Monaghan Town), Macartan (Ballybay), daughters Orla Mhic Suibhne (Carraig Mhachaire Rois) and Niamh Quinn (Latton), daughters in-law Barbara, Martina and Therese, sons in-law Mícheál and Paul, sister in-law Maire, her 17 cherished grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Eilish’s funeral cortège will travel from her late residence in Knocknamaddy on Wednesday morning at 10.30am (driving) to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballybay, for funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Margaret Sheridan (née Fitzpatrick)

Doora, Shantonagh, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Margaret (Maggie) Sheridan (née Fitzpatrick), Doora, Shantonagh, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, peacefully surrounded by her family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda Monday 18th October 2021. Predeceased by her husband Johnny and her son little Patrick. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, daughter Brigid Ann, sons Gene, John and James, sisters Alicia Walshe (USA) and Brigid Ann McGuickian (Ballybay), her seventeen grandchildren and a great-grandson Fínn, son-in-law Peter, daughters-in-law Marie, Bernie and Camilla, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and her many friends.

Reposing at her residence on Tuesday and on Wednesday. In an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19, Government Guidelines will apply at the public wake.

There will be an opportunity for neighbours and friends to pay their respects on Thursday (21st October) as Margaret’s funeral cortège will leave her residence Doora to arrive at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Lough Egish, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
