Sister Nora Colbert

The death has occurred of Sister Nora Colbert, Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary, Cavan / Shanagolden, Limerick. On Mission in Nigeria, Cameroon and Central Region Ireland. October 23, 2021, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at College View Nursing Home, Cavan, in her 94th year. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary, her sisters Veronica and Eilis, and her brothers Pat and Con, Sister Nora will be very sadly missed by her brother Michael, sister Sr Marie Christine, Sisters of St Louis, Dublin, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, her extended family, the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary and her many friends.

May she rest in peace. Sr Nora’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning, October 25 in the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan at 11.30am, followed by burial in the Convent Plot in Cullies Cemetery.

Due to current Government and HSE advice, Sr. Nora’s Funeral will be private to Family and the Holy Rosary Sisters. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live on https://cavantownparish.com.

Sr Nora’s Family and the Holy Rosary Sisters would like to thank you for your understanding and co-operation at this time. Those unable to attend due to the restrictions are asked to leave their condolences in the condolence section of RIP.ie.

Margaret McCabe (née Murray)

The death has occurred of Margaret McCabe (née Murray) Corlespratten, Arva, Cavan. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.Wife of the late Jack. Lovingly remembered by her sons Gerard and Arthur daughters Ann,Mary,Bernie and Patricia,Sons-in-law,daughters-in-law,grandchildren,great-grandchild,sisters Maisie,Betty and Ronnie and brother John nieces,nephews and a large circle of friends. Rest in peace.

Reposing at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law Arthur and Caroline on Sunday 24 from 4pm until 8pm. House private thereafter. Funeral to arrive at Sacred heart church Arva for Funeral mass at 11am on Monday 25 followed by Internment in Coronea cemetery.People are welcome to line the funeral cortege route.

Audrey Rogers (nee Kells)

The death has occurred of Audrey Rogers (nee Kells) Duneena, Baileboro, Co. Cavan and formerly of Ballymacgauran, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, who passed away peacefully at home. Predeceased by her husband Edwin. Deeply regretted by her sisters, Lynn, Irene and Millie, her children Avril, Gordon and Lorna, in laws Tom Michael and Jean, and Sarah. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Aaron, Natalie, Rebecca, Tommy, Alan, Jack and Adrian, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements later.

John Patrick Keating

The death has occurred of John Patrick Keating St Petersburg, Florida and late of Crossreagh, Mullagh and Cavan Road Virginia. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen. Sadly missed by his wife beloved wife Jadwiga his extended family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date.

Ena Lunney

The death has occurred of Ena Lunney, Main Street, Swanlinbar, Cavan. eacefully, at Esker Lodge Nursing Home, Cavan, daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret and sister of the late Dr Aiden, Swanlinbar, Paddy and Hugh, New York. Deeply regretted by her loving sisters Margaret Mary and Martha Curran, Kinawley, Brother Fr Sean CSSR South Africia, relatives and friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Una Mc Barron

The death has occurred of Una Mc Barron, Main Street, Ballyconnell, Cavan. October 22, 2021 at the Breffni Care Centre, Ballyconnell, in her 104th year. Deeply regretted by her loving nephew, nieces, relatives & friends. Rest in peace.

Removal on Sunday from Breffni Care Centre, confined to family only please, arriving at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Ballyconnell, for funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Due to government & HSE guidelines the church is limited to 50% capacity. The funeral Mass can be watched on the below link.
