Sunny spells and scattered showers

Tonight will be largely dry with clear spells.

Outbreaks of rain will clear from the east of the province later this morning, followed by sunny spells and scattered showers for much of the region.

“Some of the showers will be heavy,” say Met Eireann, who forecast temperatures this afternoon will reach between 12 to 14 degrees.

“However, rain will move into south and east Ulster later in the night. Lowest temperatures will range 5 to 7 degrees, with light southerly or variable winds.”

That unsettled spell of weather though is expected to continue into tomorrow (Friday) when showers will become frequent and heavy in the west later in the afternoon and in the evening.
