Sky is the limit for Hub exhibition

Exhibition launched on Culture Night at Cavan County Museum's Eden Gallery

Bailieborough Creative Hub are bringing their acclaimed exhibition ‘Under Cavan Skies’ home. 'Under Cavan Skies' is an exhibition of work created by members of the Hub throughout the lockdowns. This exhibition was launched on Culture Night at Cavan County Museum's Eden Gallery.

Bailieborough Creative Hub is a nurturing community group encouraging artists and creative people to get involved in creative projects regardless of their experience or medium.

Sally-Ann Duffy is a visual artist originally from London now based in Bailieborough. She is one of the “Hubsters” driving this artist collective.

“Since February 2020 we have changed how we develop as a group while still following the appropriate pandemic advice,” Sally-Ann says. “Hubsters have continued to be inspired by each other and the local area. Our exhibition ‘Under Cavan Skies’ is a selection of work created through the lockdowns. Our wildly diverse talented Hubsters flourished throughout the darkness of the last year and found a beacon of light through their creativity,” she explained.

Following the successful exhibition in the Cavan County Museum in September 2021 the Hub present the exhibition in their home town.

Sally-Ann says this “different and challenging year” has caused the creative collective to approach things in a different manner: “We are unfortunately not able to have a launch event due to continuing Covid restrictions in the library but the public can still enjoy the exhibition, pick up our accompanying free book and free postcards of the artwork.”

The exhibition runs in Bailieborough Library from Tuesday, November 2 for four weeks during normal library opening hours.
