Michelle Cullivan of Amsha Bridal

‘All about curves’ at Amsha Bridal

Amsha Bridal has been nominated for the prestigious Weddings Online award for bridal supplier of the year.

Owner of the bridal business Michelle Cullivan is delighted with the opportunity that could see her in the finals in March 2022.

“It’s a prestigious award,” Michelle explained.

“It’s good to get my name out there,” she said, detailing how, when COVID-19 hit, she had only been in business 18 months.

“I was just starting to get on my feet and I'm trying to build the name again.”

The winner will be picked based on reviews from brides and the business's online presence.

A former employee of Bank of Ireland, Michelle left after 21 years to pursue her dream of making women feel happy.

“My young lassie got married and she had a horrible time getting her wedding dress just because she had a few curves,” Michelle recalled.

As an inclusive enterprise, Amsha Bridal “looks after ladies between a size eight and a size thirty".

“There’s nothing worse than going into a place where things don’t fit,” she empathised.

The business stocks wedding wear from “head to toe" - bridesmaids dresses, debs and evening wear, communion and flower girl dresses, with a curvy debs range and half sizes in communion wear.

Not one to leave anybody out, Michelle even managed to incorporate her children’s names, Amy and Shane, into the name ‘Amsha.’ Her father also had a boat, which was named after the siblings.

“I have the brass plaque of the boat in the shop,” she explained.

“The name means something.”

Amsha Brial is open by appointment only, Michelle can be contacted on 086-7805957, or alternatively you can search their Facebook and Instagram pages or their website on amshabridal.ie

“I do mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and even Sundays,” Michelle said.

She wished her customers a Christmas and New Year full of happiness and thanked everyone for their ongoing support.
