It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Patsy Byrne

Formerly Teeboy, Corlough, Cavan

Naylor Court, Rossmore Road West, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Patsy passed away peacefully in the loving care of her daughters Tracey and Sarah. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Sarah Byrne and her sister Sarah Patricia. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered with love and affection by her daughters Tracey, Bradford and Sarah, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, her brother Aidan (and his wife Patricia), Bray, her sisters Ann Marie, Castlenock, Dublin & Angela (and her husband Peter) Ballinaglera, Co. Leitrim and by her loving grandchildren Mia, Reece, Ella and Emily and her many relatives and friends.

Helen McDonnell (née Corcoran)

Leeson Park Avenue, Dublin 4, Dublin / Virginia, Cavan

Late of the Park Hotel, Virginia, Co. Cavan and Aer Lingus, 21st December 2021 (peacefully) in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband Barry and her son Richard, sadly missed by her family, her beloved children Ruth, Petria, Redmond and John, sisters Patricia and Kathleen, grandchildren James, Molly and Hannah, daughter-in-law Sarah, son-in-law Adrian. Helen will be missed by her many friends and admirers, including Troni (Petronia) her devoted carer for six years.

Rest in Peace.

Removal Friday morning (24th December) to the Church of St. Mary, Haddington Road, arriving for 10.00am Funeral Mass, followed by Cremation at Mount Jerome. A Memorial Mass will take place in the Church of Mary Immaculate in Virginia, Co Cavan on February the 13th next at 11.00 am.

Owen REYNOLDS

Dublin / Cavan

REYNOLDS Owen (Dublin and formerly of Ballinarry, Co. Cavan) December 21st 2021. Peacefully in the loving care of his family and the staff of the Tara Winthrop Private Clinic, Swords. Beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Owen E., Brian and Mary. Sadly missed by his family, grandchildren Maya, Daniel, Niamh, Rachel, Olivia, Hannah, Aoibhinn, Luke & Harrison, Niall and Odhrán, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, brother, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass on Friday morning, December 24th, at 10am at the Church of Our Lady of Victories, Ballymun Road, followed by a private cremation service. The death has occurred of Terry Haughey, Beagh-Kearns, Monaghan, Tuesday, December 21st, peacefully, at his residence, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Mary, brothers Benny and Tom, sister Mary Brennan. Terry, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his family, wife Nuala, daughters Paula / Kenny (New York) and Marcella / Mark (Beagh-Kearns), sons Brian /Anne (Lisnaskea) and John / Martina (Beagh-Kearns), his 11 cherished grandchildren, brothers Sean and Kevin, sisters Mardie McCarron, Eilish McQuaid, Anne McEnroe and Josephine Crowe, sisters in-law, brothers in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

“May Terry’s Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace”

Terry will repose at his home in Beagh-Kearns, among his family and close friends, tomorrow, Thursday, from 3pm until 8pm. Removal from his home on Friday (Christmas Eve) morning at 10.20am to arrive at St Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan, for funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Latlurcan Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Cavan / Monaghan Palliative Care, c/o Wards Funeral Home or by donation box.

House private at all other times, please.

Please adhere to the current Government and HSE Covid guidelines while attending Terry’s wake and funeral.

Jenny (Mary Jane) Lennon (née McKenna)

Garryduff, Latton, Monaghan

The death has occured of Jenny (Mary Jane) Lennon, nee McKenna, Garryduff, Latton, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, peacefully as her home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Francis and her husband Henry, her two infant sons, her daughter Moira and her brother Vincent (England).

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons, Francis, Brian, Peter, Ciarán, Noel, and Mac. Her daughters Rose, Ann, and Pauline. Her sisters Nan and Maggie (Castleblayney), Betty (Monaghan), her brothers Seamus (England) and Noel (Castleblayney) along with her sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, twenty seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, extended family, friends and neighbours.

May her Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace

Remains reposing at her son Brian's residence, Garryduff, Latton, from 5pm today, Wednesday, until removal to Saint Mary's Church, Latton, for 11am funeral Mass on Friday morning. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Please adhere to continued HSE and government guidelines, wear face covering and observe social distancing. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care.
