Looks like a wet Christmas

This morning, Christmas Eve, will be cloudy with some lingering fog in parts.

Outbreaks of rain will extend from the south during the afternoon. Breezy at times too with fresh southeast winds developing, becoming strong at times.

Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.

TONIGHT

Tonight, the rain over Ulster and north Leinster will become patchier and clear northwards early in the night, becoming mainly dry.

Towards morning, outbreaks of showery rain will again push up from the south.

Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees in fresh, occasionally strong southeasterly winds.

TOMORROW - Christmas Day

A wet, cloudy and breezy day for Christmas Day with widespread outbreaks of showery rain, heavy at times.

However, parts of the northeast of the province will have dry intervals too.

Highest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees in moderate to fresh southeasterly winds.
