Free Christmas tree recycling offered in Cavan

People are being urged to dispose of Christmas trees properly.

Real Christmas trees can be recycled for free this January across Co Cavan.

Cavan County Council is facilitating the recycling of natural trees at its Civic Amenity Centres during January, for domestic households only.

There will be no entry charge at any of the Council's three centres but the €4 charge will remain for the recycling of other household waste items. All electrical and electronic items are accepted free of charge as standard.

Corranure Civic Amenity is open from 8am to 4.30pm on Wednesday, January 5. Normal hours resume from Thursday, January 6.

Bailieborough Civic Amenity is open from 8am to 4.30pm on Wednesday, January 5. Normal hours resume from Thursday, January 6.

Ballyconnell Civic Amenity is open from 8am to 4.30pm on Wednesday, January 5. Normal hours resume from Thursday, January 6.
