It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Bridget Farrell (née Donnellan)

Belville, Ballinagh, Cavan

Bridget Farrell (nee Donnellan) Belville, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan and formerly Blackhills, Baileboro, Co. Cavan, Saturday, January 22nd 2022, peacefully, in the loving care of her family and the staff at Castlemanor, Nursing Home, Cavan. Beloved wife of the late Tom Farrell and devoted Mother of Linda McSherry. Bridget will be very sadly missed by her loving daughter, son in law Charles, her adored grandchildren Emma and her husband Owen, Paul and his wife Anne-Marie, her great grandchildren Ella, Charlie, Thomas and Robin, sister Patricia Gilsenan and her husband Raymond, Baileboro, brother Philip Donnellan and his wife Agnes, Ballyjamesduff, all her extended family, neighbours and many friends.

May She Rest in Peace.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan, on Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm. As we are still affected by Covid, masks must be worn at the Funeral Home with no hand shakes and walk through, please. Funeral will arrive to St. Felim’s Church, Ballinagh, on Tuesday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am. Following Mass, the cortège will proceed to the new cemetery, Crossdoney Road, for committal prayers and burial in the family plot.

The family would like to thank each of you for your understanding, co-operation and support.

Margaret McAdam (née Connolly)

Tirnaneil, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Margaret McAdam (neé Connolly), Tirnaneil, Monaghan, Saturday, 22nd January, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her brothers, Eoin & Jimmy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Peadar, her cherished sons Emmet (Anne-Marie), Darragh (Eimear), Colm (Martina) & Gareth (Norah), her beloved grandchildren Páidí, Domhall, Aoibh, Tomás, Ciarán, Danann & Laura, her brothers Pat & Seán, sisters Bridget & Kitty, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Margaret's remains will repose at her home on Monday from 3pm - 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am at St. Mary's Church, Glennan; https://mcnmedia.tv/camera/st-marys-church-5. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Latlurcan, Monaghan (via Tirnaneil). Family flowers only, please, donations, if so desired, to The Irish Cancer Society c/o Peter McMahon, McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member. House strictly private on Tuesday morning, please.

Ann Rice (née Holland)

Tamlet, Tyholland, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Ann Josephine Rice (Nee Holland) Tamlet Tyholland Co. Monaghan Sunday 23rd of January 2022 peacefully at her home. Pre-deceased by her husband John Francis. Sadly missed by her sons Brian, John and Mark, Mark's partner Una and her grandchildren, her brothers PJ, Michael, Martin, Gerard and her sisters Marie and Vera.

Ann's remains will repose at her home until removal at 10:15am on Tuesday 25th of January for 11am funeral Mass in St Patrick's Church Tyholland. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Palliative Care and The Irish Cancer Society.

House private to family and friends.
