It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Pansy (Mary) Davitt (née Morgan)

Celbridge, Kildare / Clonard, Meath / Virginia, Cavan

DAVITT (née Morgan), Pansy (Mary) (Celbridge, Co. Kildare, formerly of Anneville, Clonard, Co. Meath and Virginia, Co. Cavan) January 16th, 2022 (peacefully) in the dedicated care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Beloved mother of Michael, Deirdre, Emer and Dermot. Beloved grandmother of Jonathan, Karl, Tom, Grace, David and George. Deeply regretted by her sister Anne and brothers Brian and Gerry, sisters and brother-in-law, extended family, nephews, nieces, relatives, carers, neighbours and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Removal on Monday morning (January 31st) to St. Patrick’s Church, Celbridge arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30 am followed by cremation in Newland’s Cross Crematorium. Pansy’s funeral service may be viewed (live only) via the following this LINK.

Margaret Mc Cabe (née Smith)

12 Lisdrumskeagh., Shercock, Cavan

Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband Malachy, devoted mother to Marie, Amanda, Raymond and Deirdre. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Kenna, Conrad, Cole, Cassia, Claire, Shane, Erin and Liam. Sons in law Andy, Ian and Bill. Daughter in law Angie, sisters Eileen and Mary, brothers Peter and Paddy, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, dear friends and neighbours.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home Bailieborough from 4pm until 7pm on Saturday. Funeral mass on Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm in St Patrick's Church Shercock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Drummond Cottage, Drummond, Inniskeen, Louth / Carlingford, Louth / Inniskeen, Monaghan

Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Son of the late Michael and Margaret and father of Samantha, Fiona and Kerry. Deeply and sincerely regretted by his children, sons-in-law John and Andrew, grandchildren Georgina, Alex, Jasper and Ruby and his wide family circle and dear friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn's Funeral Homes, Bridge Street, Dundalk from 3pm-6pm on Friday. Removal on Saturday at 10am, proceeding via Dundalk Road (R173) and Dundalk Street, Carlingford, to St. Laurence's Church, Omeath, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
