Fair Deal office has a temporary new home

The Nursing Home Support (Fair Deal) office has moved temporarily to Ballyhaise Health Centre, Ballyhaise, Cavan, and services in the office have now resumed as normal.

The HSE has advised that the new arrangement took effect on Monday of this week, February 14.

Last week emergency building works forced the closure of the Cavan Monaghan office on Town Hall Street in Cavan Town and the phone lines were out of service for a time.

Phone lines and email addresses to the office remain the same.

Post that is sent to the Nursing Home Support Office’s previous location in TownHall Street will be re-directed to Ballyhaise Health Centre.

The HSE wish to apologise for any inconvenience this temporary closure and relocation has caused.

The Fair Deal scheme is managed by the HSE . Under Fair Deal, those eligible pay a certain amount towards the cost of care and the HSE pays the rest.

The Fair Deal financial assessment determines how much is paid towards the total cost of nursing home care, and these awssesments are co-ordinated through the Fair Deal offices.
