It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Bernadette Boylan (née Hanratty)

Rathlogan, Kingscourt, Meath / Kingscourt, Cavan

The death has occurred of Bernadette Boylan (née Hanratty), Rathlogan, Kingscourt, Co. Meath, peacefully at her home & surrounded by family, 20th February, 2022.

Predeceased by her husband Petie, baby grandson Francis, brothers Brian, Kevin & P.J., sisters Kathleen, Margaret & Martha and Margaret’s partner James.

Deeply regretted by her daughters Rosemarie (O’Reilly), Catherine (Faulkner), Margaret and son Peter, sisters Sr. Veronica (M.M.M), Dympna, Josephine, Olive and Vera. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Gillian, Enda, Kathy, Graham & Chloe, sons-in-law Terry & Michael, daughter-in-law Lynda, Peter’s partner Sharon, brother-in-law Michael, neighbours, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her home on Tuesday, 22nd February, from 3pm to 8pm. Please adhere to measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 & wear face coverings & observe social distancing

Bernadette’s Funeral Mass will take place at 10am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt on Wednesday, 23rd February, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Bernadette’s funeral cortège will begin from her home on Wednesday morning, travelling to the Church of the Immaculate Conception via Main Street from 9.30 am. Neighbours and friends are very welcome to line that route as a mark of respect.

Matthew (Mattie) Finnegan

Garrymore, Ballinagh, Cavan

Peacefully, at Lisdarn Unit. Predeceased by his wife Bettie. Sadly missed by his loving family Carmel (Michael), Lizy (Stephen), Ann (John T), Frank (Bridann), Mattie (Sarah), grandchildren, great grandchild, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Finnegan's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan, Monday, 21st February, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Removal to St. Michael's Church, Potahee, for funeral Mass on Tuesday, 22nd February, at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Deighan (née Mc Kenna)

Blackraw, Stranooden, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Mary Deighan, (née McKenna ) Blackraw, Stranooden, Co. Monaghan, 20th Ferruary 2022. Mary passed away suddenly, at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and John, Sister Peggy Clerkin, brothers Peter, Edward and Gerard. Cherished wife of Peter and adored Mother of Paula and Peadar. Mary will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband, daughter, son, daughter-in-law Alice, son-in-law Francis, grandchildren Jamie, Carla, Jake, Will, Dylan, Aaron, Pearse and Elizabeth, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, many friends and by all who knew and loved Mary.

May her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
