It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Julia (Jue) Brady (née O'Reilly)

The death has occurred of Julia (Jue) Brady (née O'Reilly), Ballyjamesduff, Cavan. Tuesday, March 8 at the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan. Predeceased by her husband Donald. Deeply regretted by her son Joseph, (Agnieszka), daughter Irene, son in law Donnacha, grandchildren Oisin and Craig, brother Paddy, sisters Bernie and Mary, sister in law Noreen, brother in law Finbarr, nieces, nephews, nieces in law, nephews in law, relatives and friends. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at her residence on Wednesday March 9 from 2pm to 5pm, house strictly private at all other times please. Removal to St Joseph's Church, Ballyjamesduff for funeral mass at 12 noon on Thursday 10th. Burial afterwards in the old cemetery, Oldcastle Road, Ballyjamesduff.

Christina (Chrissie) Halton (née Cullivan)

The death has occurred of Christina (Chrissie) Halton (née Cullivan) Kilcogy, Cavan.

Chrissie died peacefully surrounded by her family at College View, Nursing Home Cavan on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Predeceased by her beloved husband Connie, brothers John Joe and Paddy.

Sadly missed by her loving daughters Elaine and Claire, son in law Oliver, Elaine's partner Sean, her adored grandchildren Conor, Aaron, Leigh, Cara and baby Freya, sisters May Sheridan (Cornea), Jeannie Ward (Galway) and brother Gabriel Cullivan (Annaglough), brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace. House private please.

Marian Watters

The death has occurred of Marian Watters 47 O'Neill Park, Clones, Monaghan.

Peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Deeply regretted by her good friends Liam & Jenny and family. Many relatives and good friends. May her gentle soul in peace

Reposing at Lawlor's Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet, Cavan from 4pm on Wednesday, March 9.

Removal on Wednesday, March 9, at 6.30pm to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Clones, at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday morning at 11am. Mass can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/sacredheartclones followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan, Co. Cavan.

Rita Mc Guirk (née Mc Donnell)

The death has occurred of Rita Mc Guirk (née Mc Donnell) Greaghglass, Ardaghey, Monaghan. Sunday, March 6, suddenly. Predeceased by her infant daughter Denise and her sister Carmel. Rita, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her devastated family, husband Eugene, daughters Caroline, Laura and Patricia and son Adrian, son in law Gary Martin, cherished grandchildren James, Ryan and Hannah, brother and sister Mairead Meehan, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

May Rita’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace. Rita will repose at her residence tomorrow, Wednesday, from 12 noon until 8pm. With removal from the residence on Thursday afternoon at 1:20pm to arrive at The Most Holy Rosary Church, Tullycorbet, for funeral Mass at 2pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private to family on Thursday morning only. Family flowers only, please, donations, if desired, to Epilepsy Ireland c/o Wards Funeral or by donation box. Please note there is a one way system in operation at Rita's residence.

Angela McCrarren

The death has occurred of Angela McCrarren Angela Mc Crarren, 93 Wylies Hill, Ballybay and formerly Shanmullagh, Clontibret, Monaghan. Angela passed away unexpectedly in Ballybay on Monday, March 7, 2022. Beloved daughter of Bridgie, sister of Marie, Ann and brother Patrick, sister-in-law Gwen, brothers-in-law, Jim and Brian, nephews,nieces, aunty Mary and aunty E, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace. Angela will be arriving home to Shanmullagh and will be reposing from 2pm Wednesday, March 9. Removal Thursday morning at 10:30am for arrival at St Mary's Church, Clontibret for 11 o'clock Requiem mass, burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery, house private Thursday morning for family and friends please. Peter McArdle

The death has occurred of Peter McArdle, Sallynoggin, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and formerly of Ballinode, Monaghan, March 8, 2022, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at St Vincent’s University Hospital, Elm Park. Peter; dearly beloved husband of Mary, devoted Dad to Mary, Peter, Bernie and Caroline. Sadly missed by his loving wife, children, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, friends and neighbours.

May he rest in peace. House private please.

Reposing at Patrick O’Donovan and Son Funeral Home, Sallynoggin A96 PW73 Friday (March 11) from 4pm to 6pm. Removal on Saturday (March 12) to Our Lady of Victories Church, Sallynoggin arriving for 10am Requiem Mass.

Jack Walsh

The death has occurred of Jack Walsh Lisnalee, Scotshouse, Monaghan. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Massie and much loved father of Heather (Gerard), Robert (Carol), brother of Margaret Hetherington (Noble), sisters in law Marjorie Fay (Jimmy), Olive Hamilton and family circle.

Jack’s remains will repose at Heather and Gerard’s residence, Corragarry, Drum, from 2 pm on Wednesday (09/03/2022), private to family and friends, subject to Covid 19 guidelines.

Funeral leaving Heather and Gerard’s residence on Thursday (10/03/2022) at 2pm to St. Andrew’s Parish Church, Scotshouse for Service, arriving at 2.30pm.

Burial in adjoining graveyard afterwards. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Oncology Unit, Cavan General Hospital c/o the undertaker or any family member.
