John Boylan

Pio Villa, Corratubber, Cavan, formerly Swellan, Cavan

Thursday 10th March 2022, peacefully at the Mater Hospital Dublin, beloved father of Helen (Oliver) and John (Ashlee) and adored grandchildren, predeceased by his parents Peter and Elizabeth, sadly missed by his son, daughter, grandchildren, his brothers, sisters, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Sunday, March 12th, from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass on Monday morning at 11.00am in the Cathedral of Ss Patrick and Felim Cavan, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

Family would like to thank their kind neighbours Matt and Rosemary Boylan, Veronica Clarke and John Edgeworth and the wonderful staff and Chaplins of Cavan General and the Mater Hospital.

Thursday, March 10th (peacefully) at home surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife Veronica, brother Ned and sister Kit. Sadly missed by his family; daughter Gloria, son Padraig, sister Delia, daughter-in-law Suzanne, Gloria's partner Mickey, granddaughters Noelle and Amy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, his many friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Briody's Funeral Home, Kilnaleck on Saturday evening from 5pm to 7pm (Walk through only please) Removal on Sunday from Padraig & Suzanne's home to St. Mary's Church, Ballinarry arriving for 12 noon Funeral Mass. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Please follow mask wearing & social distancing protocols.

Mabel Elliott (nee Johnston)

Castle Gardens, Kilkenny and formerly of Arva, Co. Cavan

Friday 11th March, Mum, moved peacefully and seamlessly from life on earth to life with her Saviour, Jesus Christ in Heaven. Dearly loved wife of the late Harry. Precious mother of Trevor and Naomi. Mother-in-law of Aileen, grandmother of Jennifer (Radek) and Tracey (Adas) and great-grandmother of Joshua, Rebeka, Elias, Izabella, Daniel and Makayla. She will be sadly missed.

A Service of Thanksgiving will take place on Monday (14th March) at 3pm in Kilkenny Presbyterian Church, New Road, Kilkenny followed by burial in St. Kieran's Cemetery. Family flowers only.

Clonee, Dublin 15, late of Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan & Cabra, Dublin

March 9th 2022 peacefully surrounded by his loving family, while in the exceptional care of all the staff in St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. Son of the late Richard King. Remembered with love by his family, mother Rita, siblings Siobhan, Brendan & Jason, brother-in-law Eamon, sisters-in-law Natasha & Liz, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family including John Anthony, Michael Ross & Alyssa who Aidan absolutely dotted on & loved unconditionally.

Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village on Saturday evening from 4pm to 6.30pm. 11th March 2022, peacefully at Fairlawns Nursing Home, Bailieborough. Predeceased by her husband Peter, her brothers Johnny, Kevin and Andy and her sister Mary. Deeply regretted by her girls Ann, Tara, Debbie & all her nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, extended family, neighbours & friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough Saturday evening from 4pm to 7pm. Removal Sunday morning at 11.15am to arrive at St Anne’s Church, Bailieborough for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards to St Anne’s Cemetery.

Bernard J. (Barney) McAdam

Beabeg, Drogheda, Co. Meath and formerly of Templeport, Co. Cavan

10th March 2022. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Barney, beloved husband of Anne (née O’Connor) and loving dad to John, Brian, Martin, Aidan, Maureen, Phelim, Conor, Ronan, Grainne and Eimear. Sadly missed by his wife and family, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, his 21 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother, sister, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal on Tuesday evening to St. Mary’s Church, James Street arriving at 7 o’clock.

Enda (Andy) Gilmore

Manchester, England, Longford / Monaghan

Formerly of Lanesboro, Longford, and Monaghan. Enda died peacefully on 28th, February, 2022, in Manchester, England. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Muriel and parents John and Kathleen.

Enda (Andy) will be forever missed by his loving family, daughter, sons, grandchildren, brothers Brendan (Longford), James ( London), Tony (Lanesboro) Nicholas (Drumlish), Damian (Dublin) and Cosmos (Galway / Brussels), sisters Teresa (Lanesboro), Ann (Manchester), Colette (Manchester), Caroline (Manchester) and Lorraine (Ballyleague), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and his many dear friends here in Ireland and Manchester.

Cremation Service will take place in Manchester, England, on Thursday 17th March, 2022 at 2.30pm.

Brendan Johnston

Mount Rath, Knockbridge Road, Dundalk, and formerly of Monaghan Town.

Peacefully in The Louth County Hospital, surrounded by his family. 11th March 2022. Brendan, son of the late Eddie and Eilish, stepson of the late Dominic, much loved husband of Isa née Mc Quaid, dear father of Maria, Edward and the late Gerard, and devoted granddad of Ella, Luke, Jacob, Ben, Séigh, and Peadar, and brother of Richard and Anna and the late Nicholas. Brendan will be sadly missed by his wife, son, daughter, grandchildren, brother, sister, daughter-in-law Riona, son-in-law Ciaran, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home from 2pm until 8pm Sunday. Removal on Monday afternoon to St Joseph’s Redemptorist Church arriving for Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in Latlurcan Cemetery, Co. Monaghan. The Mass can be viewed HERE.

Jean McKenna nee Brady

Thursday 10th March unexpectedly at her residence.

Pre-deceased by her sisters Margaret & Bernadette and brother Alex. Lovingly remembered by her husband Vivion, daughters Michelle (Roman), Siobhan (Austin), son Cathal (Grainne) and her 7 grandchildren. Sadly missed by her brother John, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jean's remains will repose at her residence on Friday from 6pm - 8pm and Saturday from 4pm - 9pm. House strictly private on Sunday morning please. Jean's Funeral Mass will take place on Sunday morning at 11am at St.Patrick's Church, Corracrin. It can be viewed HERE. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

10th March 2022, peacefully at his Home surrounded by his loving family. Eamon, beloved husband of Linda and loving dad to Karen and Andrea. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, sons in law Peter and Karl, grand children Abbey, Adam, Jack, Charlie and James, brothers Francis, Kevin, Tommy and Brendan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Margaret, brothers Henry, Sean, Peter and Oliver.
