Hotter here than on Costa del Sol!

Weather update from Met Éireann

Continuing mainly dry with sunny spells over the coming days as temperatures here are set to be higher than in Malaga on the Costa del Sol!

Daytime temperatures continuing well above the March average, but rather cold at night with a touch of grass frost possible.

Today will be dry in most areas with long spells of hazy sunshine developing. There will be well scattered showers later today, mainly in the northwest. Some coastal fog is possible in parts too. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 or 18 degrees, warmest in sunshine across the midlands, west and northwest. Light southeasterly winds.

Tonight will be mainly dry with just isolated showers, and light southerly breezes. Clear at first, becoming cloudier overnight with low cloud and possible mist or fog spreading from the southwest. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees.

Tomorrow, Thursday, will be a cloudier day across Connacht, Ulster and western Munster with some drizzle possible at times. Dry elsewhere with sunny spells and light southerly breezes. Just the chance of some coastal fog. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, warmest in the east and a little cooler in cloudier conditions on Atlantic fringes.

Thursday night is forecast to be mostly clear across the east and south, with low cloud and possibly some fog in western and northern counties. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees with a grass frost possible in parts where it remains clear.

Rather cloudy in many areas to start on Friday, becoming sunnier through the day although cloud may persist near northern coasts. A mainly dry with the chance of the odd shower breaking out. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, warmest in land with sea breezes developing.

Remaining dry and clear for most areas Friday night. However some fog patches may form in light easterly breezes. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees.

Saturday is promised dry with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees, slightly cooler along northern and eastern coasts. Little change overnight, but turning cold again overnight with a touch of grass frost possible. Some fog may also set in.

Sunday should be dry with good sunshine and a light northeast breeze. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 or 17 degrees.

A good deal of dry weather is also signalled for Monday and Tuesday, however temperatures will fall back to average. Some rain is likely to return from around midweek onwards.
